update so far...
after a long sleepless night worrying and stressing out I phoned my GP surgery first thing this morning and asked to speak to my docs secretary,I explained all to her and she said 'Thats not on, Ill see wot I can do'. 5 minutes later shes back on phone with an appointment for another GP for this afternoon, she will put a note on my notes explaining situation to him/her.
Once I get it I will be walking straight down to office and handing it in and making sure I get a receipt for it!!
So heres hoping everything gets sorted in time for next week when i was due to get paid.
Thanks again to all advice given you guys are the best, stopped me going bananas!0 -
I am going to write a letter to area/district manager complaing about this mix up as I think they may need to send most of their employees on a refresher course lol
seriously tho I am so shocked and appalled at them and would hate for anyone else to go thru wot im going thru just now, imagine it does(and it prop will) and that person doesnt have access to this site and you amazing ppl (shudder to think)I swear ive got a few new grey hairs lol
least I can laugh about it now couldnt yesterday for holding back tears.0 -
Glad you got to see the doctor!!
Don't forget though that even if you did not have health problems you still don't need to be available for work if you are the half of the couple who is looking after the kids. I still can't find a link, but I've double checked my info at work today with colleagues who are far more up to date with JSA regulations than I am and they confirm that's the case.
Please do write a letter of complaint to the jobcentre manager, district manager, MP and anybody else you can think of. You should not have been put through this stress and worry. It makes me SO angry:mad:!! And on a purely selfish note, this kind of thing makes it even more difficult for those of us who can do our jobs and have to sort out the mess that other people have made.
Anyway rant over!!0 -
thought id update on my claim
I received letter this morning telling me I cant get IB as I have not paid enough NI contributions in the qualifying years. Received another letter as well telling me my rates etc for income support claim, with my partners details on it etc. so it looks like everyhting is sorted although why all the fuss mix up and hassle I dont know lol
fingers crossed thats the last of my troubles with them for a good while now.0 -
FYI, if you claim for the two of you then he doesn't need to sign on either. You'd get the couple's allowance plus the couple disability premium. Depending on the rate of DLA he might also be able to claim Carers Allowance which will also give you the carers premiumI'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!0

why is it no one can tell you the right information?
I really hope you get this sorted sweetie, my husband and I have had no money coming in since end of may, we are 8 weeks later and still waiting to hear about IS and IB. we have 2 small daughters under 5 and one on the way. (taking so long cause I am self employed and it went to a descision maker)
I am sick of having to do my own research to see if what they tell you on the phone is right.
I agree with you they really need put on refresher courses etc.:jDebt free from 2010:j(except for mortgage lol)0 -
Hi again everyone
Sorry to be a pain but got another question.
Since changing my claim to a joint claim I am now to be paid fornightly(was weekly before)??
I received my last 'single claim' payment on 7 august
Received a giro and letter stating this was for payment up to 14 august. this was 4 a weeks money.
Today 21st august I have received no payment, surely I should be paid my first fornightly payment today and not be left a week without money?
Sorry if thats all confusing but cant think of any better way of wording it.
Thanks in advance for your help everyone0 -
oops 4got to mention above that the giro and letter I got on 15 august .0

I'm afraid you won't be paid now until next Tuesday 28th August as they pay fortnightly in arrears. As next weekend is a BH, depending who you bank with, you may be extremely lucky and have it paid in early on the Sunday instead
