The 13/14 income for her salary was about 7k I think as she didn't start work until december, we have two kids in the house hold who are not disabled. I do not work at the moment so she provides for me also. I said calling them next week as she is working tomorrow and sunday, I can understand our payments being reduced but from £800 odd a month to £200 ish seems like a big drop.

Hi, just my thoughts as you said you can understand why your payment has dropped.

You can not find out until next week, i sure you cant get the reason why on here only some good advice.

So if i was you chill have a good weekend but over the weekend make a note of all questions you need answered and when you get the answer make a note of it.

Then all being well you should know whats what.

No they haven't as fsr as I am aware but when my other half said why are my payment so low they said it is cause of last years income but when she told them she isn't earning that this year and can our payments be increased they said no, cause she earnt that last year, that's the bit I don't understand as from what I've read and heard on here they should update this years income and we should get a increase in payments?.

I'm puzzled : as this is a joint claim, you too could phone up - as your wife is working and you are at home - why do you not phone about the claim?

It's not always easy, when one is at work, to make personal calls - calling from home can be far less stressful.

I just have never called them up and would rather her deal with all that as I don't have a clue how it all works apart from what I've read on the Internet, she has dealt with them for years as for me I have not, as I have had no need to.

But as it is a joint claim, you do have need to - or is it a just a case of CBA?

No it's just that she has always phoned them and spoke to them so I just let her get on with it, I will update here once she has spoken to them.
