Washing machine buying advice please

I know these threads come up very frequently but I just wanted to ask for a bit of help. I have a miele dishwasher and love it and would love to get a miele washing machine but the depth of the machine comes out too much which would mean one of my kitchen drawers not opening.

Due to this,I must consider other options of make. I currently have a hotpoint wash machine which frankly I wouldn't touch again.

What other makes are recommended?i don't mind paying around £500. Would people recommend bosch or Siemens or is there something better than them?

The washing machine would need everyday use for a family of 6.

Your help would be appreciated.

Your probably along the right lines, plus John Lewis. But do any of these brands make machines that fit? Or do you need to look at integrated machines?

The other machines are smaller in depth so would fit as I have compared them to my current hotpoint one. It's more about going for a company that generally makes good washing machines.

Miele wouldve been brill but sadly I have to swerve them.

    Anyone else have any ideas?

If you want long warranty, samsung ecobubble have 5 years if you purchase by 31/05
They have machine with 55cm depth.

Are samsung considered a reliable washing machine brand?also how about siemens? they tend to offer 5year warranties as standard

To my undestanding Bosch and Siemens are same brand.
i have a quick check, Siemens machine with 5 years warranty cost £650 and 59cm depth.

Never own samsung washing machine, no comment. However, Bosch is a reliable brand, and if anything go wrong with Bosch, I would assume it would be easier to get fixed as it is a more popular brand.

Thanks very much for your help.

I think I'll go with a bosch as I don't really want to go with a Samsung without knowing about its reviews.

The only off putting thing is the length of the programmed these days. normal ones seem to be atleast 3hours.

We bought a new machine at Christmas. Looked at Bosch, Siemens and John Lewis (AEG). Ended up with Siemens as it had a 5 year warranty.

A normal wash takes 2-3 hours, but there is an option to reduce this to about an hour. Quickest wash is just 15 minutes.
