    That may very well be true - but when it did become evident, wasn't that a light bulb moment?

    Attacking others on here for trying to give you a bit of common sense will not change the fact that you have been had.

    I am not "attacking" anyone here. Pointing out unhelpful, judgemental posts and requesting people to move on does not constitute "attacking". If people don't have any useful advice or suggestions, if all they've got to say is 'you're gullible, you've been scammed, let them keep your money, forget it' it is best they move on. I thought this was a consumer support forum meant to expose and prevent rogue companies from getting away with it.

    unlikely a refund could be got because you probably have learned everything there is to know about forex trading (nothing)

    It is;
    do you now admit it's a 'rogue company' and that you've been had?
    If not, move on.
    The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

    Please may I draw your attention to my original post. Do you have any suggestions or advice as to how I can get my money back?

    apologies if you don't think my posts are not helpful. I can appreciate it must be frustrating to feel robbed in suich a way.

    Your route to refund can only be on contractual grounds in that what was delievered did not match what you actually ordered (what you received was not what was in the contract). From the looks of things you've found a few points to possibly argue this but as I presume you paid a lump sum for a whole suite of 'things' you would only be entitled to refunds for the bits you didn't get - were the prices broken down at all? Often stuff like DVD's etc are listed as 'free extras' and hence have no consideration attached to them hence you can not be refunded for something you have not paid for.

    Your main complaint seems to be with the quality of the course and this I fear is where there is a disconnect; there is little to learn about trading forex and anyone running a course will not have anything useful to teach. Those who can just do, those who cant teach.

    What you have hopefully learned from this is (a) not to go on anything similar in the future and (b) that forex trading is not for you - in some respects this is valuable learning so while not the initial objective of the course you have got something out of it?

  • OP - the most helpful advice you can possibly get has already been given. It's a scam, and whilst you've lost a bit of money, it's not a life changing amount. Learn from it, and move on.
  • There is a site called Forexpeacearmy which, while it is US oriented and appears to concentrate on scams of investors by traders rather than trainers, might be able to give some general advice. You need to join first:

    I do not know enough to decide how ethical they are, so it is at your own risk!

    I doubt whether refunds are possible as I have not found any examples online and there must be many disatisifed customers out there.

    According to the BBC article posted by PlutoinCapricorn, that particular FX "course" is run by a Greg Secker. You can't accuse them of being subtle.

    The only way you can get your money back, assuming that they're not going to voluntarily refund you, is to take a civil action against them. But your chances of success appear to be minimal.
