BT line rental and broadband/calls contracts out of sync . . . . . .

Hi, my BT line rental contract is up for renewal in May . . . . my BT broadband/calls contract is up for renewal in November. So I'm constantly in one contract or another. (I suspect it happened when BT once gave me an 18month contract for one of them).
It's totally unsatisfactory, it makes it very difficult to consider moving to another supplier and BT won't do anything to help me rectify the situation and bring them in line. I'm now reluctant to renew my line rental by paying £183.48 up front for the year, but that is going to cost me.
Any suggestions gratefully received. Many thanks.

Don't renew the line rental then, that's all I did.. That's what I had when switched over for infinity.. 12 months telephone, 18 months broardband.. then resisted there calls re committing the telephone, especially when they weren't actually offering much of a saving for me to stay on.
You have more control once you are out of the minimum contract period..0 -
Likewise if you are out of sync pay monthly .
Get to your broadband contract end and you are free to choose what contracts you want .
I accepted an 18 months broadband contract and a twelve month advance line rental payment knowing that 12 from 18 leaves 6 . That gives me six months on normal line rental to weigh up my options once the BB is out of contract .0 -
The contract does not require 'renewal'. If you do nothing it continues on a 30 day notice basis on the original terms. No free lunch, and no free laptop
