In my online banking - "Payments and transfers"
Interestingly, my old current account ("Everyday Current Account" now) appears - as well as the esaver - in the drop-down menu of accounts that I apparently can "Pull money in from an external account". When requesting the form over a phone I was told that it was esaver only.

Messaged Santander yesterday and had reply today, which only said that if the DD falls on a weekend or bank holiday there is a delay, which of course I know, but the payment was due on Monday, which was not a bank holiday. But interestingly the payments were received into my Santander Everyday Saver today, two days late but no reason why the delay.

The (not so) friendly lady I just spoke to insisted that they couldn't do it, until I read the words from the online banking website to her. Now she's gone and left me on hold for the last 5 minutes...

Why not just do your DDs with Tesco savings accounts?
