Santander / Halifax - DDs not taken?

My qualifying DDs from Halifax Reward accounts have not been sent to Santander e-savers this month and I can't see any reason why this has happened. Never had this happen before and just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem this month (before I make contact with them)? Not looking forward to trying to sort it out, it took forever to get the flippin' things set up initially.

Are you sure that Santander e-saver can be funded by a DD? I've never heard of this.0
-
yes it can.......
Unfortunately mine dont go out til 22nd so cant check yet .....hope there are no probs though!!0 -
Interesting...
It says:The service is only available if you have nominated a bank account from which to pull the money. To obtain a form to nominate an account, please call our Telephone Banking Service on 0845 600 4388.
Any chance this form is available online somewhere to print it out?0 -

I spent ~15 minutes on the phone waiting while they were trying to find anyone knowing anything about this.0

Check their website for updated (cheaper/inclusive) phone numbers.
Many have swapped from 0845 to 0345 in recent weeks.0 -
Yes, I regretted using 0845 (3p/min via 18185). I thought it was some dedicated number for this particular issue, but realised that I could have used 01908 instead (5p/call). I don't have any daytime 'inclusive' minutes' to use.0

My Halifax to Santander eSaver DD has worked OK this month but the statement description (on Santander) has changed since April.
Was: "RECEIPTS INVOICING [SequenceNumber] Nº REF."
Now: "MONEY IN USING DIRECT DEBIT, MONEY FROM ACCOUNT [SortCode] [AccountNo]"
It's probably not significant, but does indicate that Santander has made some sort of change. I haven't changed anything.0 -
Can I ask where you found this? The key facts document suggests the account can only be funded via standing order, direct payments and internet transfers. TIA.

... But if you read through the whole thread, you'll find that Santander seemed to make it difficult for many people, so innovate dropped from the first post.
There are easier ways to create DDs.0
