Crystal Ski compensation

I recently returned home from my skiing holiday in Austria. On my way home I was delayed by 5hours and 50 mins. Crystal Ski have accepted responsibility for the delay and state human error is behind the delay. We were stranded in the airport for the length of the delay and only given 10euro per person for refreshments.
Upon my return to the UK I contacted Crystal Ski regarding a compensation claim in relation to EU regulation and flight delays. They state they are not governed by EU law as they are a tour operator and the delay was not the airlines fault. They have since offered £100 per person in compensation.
Is this figure a standard compensation amount for such delay as a result of human error or is there a case to take it further to ATBA?
Any advice/guidance is appreciated

If the delay wasn't the airlines fault you're stuffed.
Accept the £100 each.
FYI usually for a delay the airline would pay out 250 euro (around £170-£180), so the tour operator is doing you a favour by offering compensation if the airline is not at fault - I'd bite their hand off.
What was the exact reason for the delay?0 -
OP, would this be a better place for your query:

My reading of the OP isn't that the delay was as a result of the airline:I recently returned home from my skiing holiday in Austria. On my way home I was delayed by 5hours and 50 mins. If the travel company caused a delay which, had it been the fault of the airline, would have resulted in a statutory level of compensation then I don't think it would be unreasonable for them to provide recompense in the same amount. I haven't checked the amount of compensation per passenger for this length of delay but from memory I believe it is more than the amount the travel company have currently offered.0 -
Sounds like there was a problem with the resort to airport transfer maybe.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

All my paper work said 13.30 flight so I was collected (by Crystal Ski) at 10am to go to the airport. When we arrived at the airport my flight number was on the screen at 19:20 resulting in the long delay. From what I understand, Austrian Airline had told Crystal Ski but "human error" meant the message was not passed on to staff thus leading to the confusion and the delay0

I would suggest that £100 per person is more than adequate for the above situation.Thinking critically since 1996....0
