    Good afternoon

    Happy Birthday Hilburn:)

We took the monkeys to Chester zoo yesterday, the weather was lovely. Tried to swap them for the baby elephants but they weren't impressed. Then got stuck in traffic for above an hr not moving:eek: I don't think we've ever been and not got stuck in some sort of traffic jam.

Then this morning myself and the monkeys have got some sort of sickness bug:( I've been up all night and poor mr monkeys looking after us all.
I seem to be the worst, I've not even got up yet!!!! I feel physically drained, with a really bad headache and a stomach like a washing machine on spin:eek: I sent mr monkey to the shop for some alka seltzers, they are just starting to work so might attempt to get out of bed. Then again.....maybe I will just stay here a bit longer:)

Stay where you are a little longer, but remember to have plenty of fluid. hope you feel better soon
I love your saying"your stomach feels like a washing machine on spin" never heard that before:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I much prefer your approach to inspections, our current landlord is good as gold and though he lives next door we hardly ever see him. Our last landlord was on the doorstep every few days and it was horrible. We got so fed up of him telling us how much he spent on decorating the place that we started telling him the running total in rent we'd paid him. I could go on about that man, but we are free of him now :)

I don't understand though how tenants can cause so much damage - is it accidental or through spite?

It is such a hard question, in our early days when we were very naive, we waited for people to report faults. One woman had difficult with her benefit entitlement, and asked me to support her in a meeting with benefits. I agreed, omg the house was awful and I mean awful. In one of the rooms there was 'f*ck you xxxx' wrote in large letters...well it just got worse the more I saw. This had been our home and was perfect when they moved in. We went through the eviction process, they knew every dodge. When they eventually left with thousands of pounds of rent arrears, there was a cupboard of use 'ladies products,' they had hacksawed through the central heating and stole all the copper, which resulted in the downstairs being flooded... it was a nightmare. The next tenant was just as bad, they reported the boiler being broke at 2 a.m. and we had to **** get it repaired now. The boiler man went that day. They then reported it broken again, the boiler man returned and was convinced that the tenant had taken a hammer to it after his repair, so he turned all the gas off... then they rang environmental health to say that they had no hot water/central heating.

Some times I think people have deep rooted difficulties and sometimes I think that some are just selfish/disgusting.

It will only get worse as local authority are reluctant to support the most vulnerable members of society, and these will end up with the worst landlords.

I love the tenants now (fingers crossed)

Morning, I am a Gemini also and its my birthday today

Have a good day everyone x

    Happy birthday Hillbern
Good morning all, started off sunny here :D

I am beginning to wish my father had left me nothing in his will. His wife was obviously sitting next to him when he made it. He said that I had had a loan off him (which I had not). I have stated the facts, that he invested into our business and then his wife demanded it back (after we had bought the goods it was intended for) saying they were destitute, we pay it back then find out that she was giving it to her daughter and they had never needed it. To cut a long story short we cannot prove this and that woman allowed my father and my whole family to think that I borrowed money off my father and never paid it back. I knew she was a b***** but I didn't think even she would stoop so low. We are having a last ditch at trying to find bank statements but we are talking back to 1992, and my father's will was dated 2002:mad:

    Bless, that is awful.

I am hoping that our parents have spent up fully by the time they pop their clogs. :o:o

Hope you feel better soon, just glad you managed a decent day yesterday (apart from the traffic). You need to stay where you are, you will be feeling weak, see if you can get some sleep.
