At least I am in a better position than your friend AJ, I don't have to pay it back, it is being taken out of the inheritance, but it really hurts that father died thinking that I owed money I did not. Unfortunately I have come to the conclusion that I shall have to give up on my brother. Frankly, if he thinks so little of me then I am simply not interested. I think I shall quietly let that relationship drift on to oblivion. I thought about writing him an email giving all the facts, but then I would seem like a petulant little girl. I am going to be the bigger person and forget just he ever existed.

At least we had a nice walk. After first herding a young bird out of the house that had flown in through the back door. I kept telling OH I thought there was a bird in the house, he just said it sounded like it because all the windows were open, but it was flying around in our bedroom when I went up to change my jeans :eek:

Your Dad would have known but maybe just wanted to clean the slate for you. Try not to punish yourself honey xxx

His wife is dead, she died before him. Unfortunately the only way I am going to convince anyone that this is wrong is by finding bank statements that we may or may not have in the loft and that are more than 20 years old. We have been clearing out the loft anyway so may find them yet.

The ridiculous thing is the executors are my brother and her daughter. Her daughter is the one she was pestering me for the money for!!!!!!

They are hardly going to say they believe me when it means they would get less money out of it! For me it is not about the money, it is the principal of the thing.

I am so glad I can come in here and moan about it all, right now I just feel like I want to strangle the b**** even though she has been dead 2.5 years.

I felt awful for it at the time, but when she died it was the first time I have ever been pleased someone had died, she was that bad.

Still, unless I can find proof, I can do nothing about all this, I shall simply more on.

Unfortunately the period is somewhere within approximately 4 years, and we left the bank after they caused us real problems anyway. We would need more information than we have currently to even get close to being able to request the statements.
