I'm booked in for a hair cut later- and I'm planning on dying my hair but is it better to dye it before or after being cut?

I normally get my hairdresser to do it at home but I'm trying to save £'s where I can
Cut first that way your hair pollutant hasn't as much hair to cover plus if you colour first some will get washed off at the salon. hth

I usually do mine before otherwise it looks really grey after she straightens it etc x

Jeeze Im painting a pretty picture. gangy feet and grey hair !

I hate having my feet touched, very tickly and yet a podiatrist can handle my trotters without me flinching
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

I'm having the works done on Wednesday. Any hairdressers I've been to seem to dye it first then cut it. Don't know why that is? Always seems a bit strange to me to be dying hair they're going to cut off....... I think I'd feel self conscious having it cut when it needed dyeing.

In other news, the garage have just rang and my car needs £345 of work doing to pass its MOT  :( rather gutted.

BB sounds more like a chiropodist job than a podiatrist I think. Hth.

    Thanks for new thread xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

Well at £33 I'm just going to have to cope ! :( I did have toe nails removed when I was 16 but that was fine as they are been in mortal agony so was a relief. I don't want them near my toenails , just my feet x

My son recently bought a pair of leather and canvas trainers in white looked really nice until he decided to walk across a field on way home from the pub
has anyone got any suggestions how i can get rid of mud stains from the canvas part please

Have you got any persil, the green liquid bottle? I use that on little mans trousers as he's always got muddy knees and rub it in with a toothbrush first. Although I don't know about it removing mud from white:eek:

apparently a podiatrist is the up to date version of a chiropodist and both do almost the same thing. I checked with the receptionist when I called and explained what the situation was.

It should be a one off visit hopefully :(

Does anyone else on here run? I've never been athletic but my weight loss plateaued after Christmas so I've started using the free NHS couch to 5K app. I'm on week 4 now and the jogging sections are getting longer so I think I ought to get some proper trainers. Anyone have any recommendations for where to look for some decent shoes that won't break the bank? I've looked on Sports Direct but there is soooo much choice and I haven't got a clue where to start.

    Hi Logie
I've also never run until I started C25K. I am also on Week 4. (Will be week 4 run 2 tomorrow). I'm just using basic pumps at the moment as I don't want to invest until I know if I'm gonna stick with it.
All my friends are into running and triathalons and have been for years. I think if you go out for cheap trainers it will be a false economy in the long run (pun intended).
Locally we have a shop called Birmingham runner. They put you on a machine which calculates the way you run and give a reading which means staff can recommend the best trainer for the way you as an individual run.
It does cost around £150 though so I'm delaying it.
I have had problems with my left calf muscle, but I'm trying to put up with it for now
    The end is nigh
