Afternoon all, beautiful afternoon. Thank you Chrisv for the new thread.
I have had a good receipt entered in the asda price promise site when it was only comparing with morrisions . If I could get on the old site should I be able to re enter it? And getting the shop I had targeted . I always though they were locked once entered , but last week I had locked it on the old site 30 th April but couldn't claim until 1st may . When I went to claim it on the 1st . It went into the new site new amount , and I lost £10.
This shop is about £30 ish , I presently have £3. 45 on morrisions.
What do people think please has anyone else tried this
Many thanks0 -
I put my lappy on the window sill in the sunshine and it dried it out.
Weird thing though, I just went on apg site and I have the old one back.0 -
please anyone got an email or an alternate phone number for EE for billing issue?
Both offspring have billing problems - eldest son was due a refund but it has not arrived in his account .
Eldest child I think is trying to cancel her contract on her own phone as its mainly the business phone that gets used. She is trying to ring them via the business phone and keeps getting cut off “Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. this is too drastic a method of getting the old APG machine for most of us
I would now settle for the new APG if it ever worked again properly“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -
thanks bessdog...dipping our toes in on behalf of DS1 who likes the look of manchester...he's happy to go into halls for first year but wants to be a little out of the action but easily reachable for the following years.
We are floating the idea of purchasing somewhere but alot depends on price etc...
He is very sold on the course at Manchester at the moment and its actually his first choice over Oxford...a lot can change in a year but he does like to forward plan...hence any suggestions welcome!
If he wants to be slightly out of the main action, he should look at the halls centred around Victoria Park rather than Fallowfield. There are some great apartment in Deansgate which rent out easily if you wanted to keep the place on after he has left Uni - the foreign students usually snap them up straight away as money is no object to lots of them
Unfortunately my son went to Manchester for 3 years of partying and little work
Didsbury as someone mentioned earlier is a much nicer place - we used to go for meals there when we went over to see him but is a lot further out and my son found Fallowfields a long journey in as its a busy road - they are getting a new tram system in so that might make things easier - my son has been left a year so havent been over for a while other than to shop - its a great place
Deansgate apartments look lovely, downside (as a future rental) is that occupancy rates are not high, so you could be left with months without a tenant.
Withington is slightly further out than Fallowfield, but easy access to the uni and Fallowfield.
Both mine went to Manchester Uni - I will have 8 years of one of them renting there, I should have bought something cheap in 2008! Problem is that both mine wanted to live in big houses with lots of mates.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Scamps that's a bit drastic to get the old site back!
But great news on the lappy being back0 -
Evening all..
Well, I'm afraid it is a very sad day for me today..:(:(
I finally got to speak to Asda Head Office and they have confirmed that I am no longer allowed to use any apg vouchers in my local store.
My attempt to be friendly with the SAs and get them onside has spectacularly backfired, to the extent that one (or some) of them have told the till manager what it is that I do and she has told head office who have backed up her decision.
It has been an awesome ride and I thank you all for it. From where I first started as a member of the Paid To Shop forum a few years ago to the 11+ on here. From day 1 of the crazy Tosco DTD fiasco and the £100 vouchers, to the Tosco H&B points coupons, even the Tesco car vouchers..:D
Then, on to Henlans' favourite in A where he made over £8500 in a few weeks to what we all enjoy now. I must have saved thousands over the years and I thank the elite for making it all possible..:D
I'd like to say that I will stay on and carry on trying to find glitches, however I much prefer instore ones and now that the incentive has been taken away it'll be hard to get myself motivated.
I will try to keep looking, however I have a feeling that this might be adieu for now and I hope that I will return one day in the future.
Take care one and all and thanks again, it has been a blast..:beer:0 -
I have to bend over backwards and redo it apparently someone could not sleep over it.
If Mr TS had just left it how I had it all his family were split and so were mine so no one could have felt left out as everyone was mixed up. He kept fine tuning it and probably his very last change was the one that made it out of balance. I tried to please him, he has taken the blame thankfully.
Absolutely ridiculous, remind them that it is your birthday and everyone will sit where you want them to, tell them to stop being so childish:mad:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Wow good time in universal studios
10 minute wait to go on Harry Potter ride. Now trying to persuade my 17 year old on the hulk. Managed to get my 6 year old on the potter ride. Pretty hot today 34.

Why don't you travel and make a day of it? It's great fun. I sell most of my john frieda on Amazon via a seller that is allowed to sell it.
I was banned from a couple of locals a few years ago for doing a lot of shops but went in and did it again 6 months later. I don't know where in the UK you are but its worth it. I converted a lot of apgs at CS into Xmas cards while I enjoy my 3 week holiday.
This might stop soon but like you said it's been a hell of a ride.0
