Hi TM have seen a karcher window vac in T at Stock0n horse jockey tonight 1/2 price think it was £38 model wv60? Had about 3 left on shelf.

These are regularly on half price. Before Christmas I messed up as it said half price but went through the till at full price. Not sure what happened ;) but Mr T kindly gave me DTD to make up for my inconvenience going to CS

Worth checking when the offer is due to change ...

anyway I've got the miseries - no nothing major, in fact it is something of no consequence whatsoever, I just have to adjust, adapt and get on with things.

So this morning it occurred to me that my COS app is running on an old IOS system so instead of leaving things alone I thought I would try taking the app off and then uploading again.
    Big mistake.
When I tried to re upload it said I needed to be on IOS 8. So I went onto the apple help pages, tidied my phone up first, deleting unused apps and videos, tidying the photos, saving things to the cloud etc. and then plugged it into the computer
But still I wasn't getting the upgrade button when I went into the settings.
OH came home and I told him the sorry tale and he worked out what version my phone is - and my version of iphone 4 is not supported so no upgrade to IOS 8 and therefore no COS.
So now I have to use OHs android phone to get to my COS account, log out of his and into mine each time - bit of a pain as COS have a bad habit of putting new items on the list just for 24 hours so on busy days something free could quite easily come and go if I don't log out and log in to both accounts at least every day.
I also don't like OHs android and I always seem to have problems logging in and out but I just have to get over it and get on with it.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with my phone, perfectly serviceable and I have no intention of changing it but gradually other things will be updated and then nothing will run as I am on an old IOS, it feels a bit like being bullied into changing something that really does not need changing and perfectly suits me.

Oh course this goes a lot deeper. There was a Sunday morning late September 2013 and we were stood on the hospital car park as we had had a phone call to come in.
I had the 3 mobiles in my hands, OHs 2 phones and my own elderly PAYG phone but OH took them all off me so I went into the hospital phone less while he parked the car.
My Dad had just passed away.
The following week was a bit of a blurr but at some stage I realised I had no phone and no idea where it was.
OH insisted that I took over the iphone one of our clan was using before he upgraded so whether I liked it or not I had to get to grips with the new fangled technology.
And now 18 months along the way even that phone is starting to get defunk.

I've been to the dentist this afternoon, very tiny filling which was more of a preventative measure, no pain but I had a pain killer as a just incase. I think whatever they use now to numb your gums also makes you feel miserable as a side effect :D

Sorry to hear of your Dads passing Mhoc .

I have an iPhone 4 too , which up to a month ago I was having lots of problems with . It kept saying that there wasnt enough space . I couldn't take pictures , log into Facebook ,emails or most of the apps on my phone . It would just keep spitting me out .My son said buy iPhone 5 or 6 , but the 4 is fine for my needs as long as it works .
Anyway to cut a long story short I deleted all my apps Facebook, mysupermarket ,google etc . Then I had enough space to update to 7
Then I added all my apps back on. It works like a dream now.
Hope that makes sense I am not very techy

I was interested in my maternal grandfather's family tree. Started researching, dug about on the internet and found a 4th cousin who had spent years researching. He gave me a copy of the tree going back to 1750 and said there was no more to be found as he had spent years looking. So job done but far too quickly.

I keep meaning to go back into mine, maybe get it all off paper and onto computer ........ but spend too much time on here to do that

I was fortunate that, a couple of years ago, a work colleague who was mad-keen on genealogy was asking people if she could research their family trees, for free (she just loved the challenge of it and research that goes into it all), so she did both my mum and dad's family trees. It was very interesting to go through all the results. One thing that sticks in my mind is that I've got a great-great-uncle called Vic, everyone in the family always knew him as Vic, but his birth name was actually Victory as he was born in 1902 the year of the Boer War ending. I just thought 'Victory' was such a cool name.
