Old Egg Loan
so I took out a loan for 5k in 2005 from Egg
60 months@ 145/month
I remember had to speak to underwriters and I think PPI may have been included.
Perhaps someone can review above for me
Also I paid 30 months then settled early settlement fig £3084
Many thanks

What advice do you want?
As you haven't included the interest rate those values may or may not suggest PPi was included.
Do you have any paperwork showing the payments?
What was the date it was taken out and the date it was closed?Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Thanks for that.
I do not have original documents to hand.
Start date of loan 8/9/2005
5k @ 145/month over 50 week,
Settled early 11th April 2008. £3084.
On my credit file it gives a start balance of £5867.
Maybe the £867 was the PPI they added on.
Any views appreciated.0 -
You can complain about it yes, usually with single premium as an reason.
You won't get back the full amount you were quoted because you paid it off early so the payments would have been rebated when you paid it off [not to you, to the total monies needed to pay it off]Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

As -taff says, if it was single premium, that'll be a winSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

Well got first letter back from Canada Square.
A generic letter.
Basically said further to our recent correspondence to you and not receiving info back from you your claim is rejected!!!
You may refer to Ombudsman.
So I called them,
First guy didn't have a clue, just asked me to confirm address, then he said he need to pass me to someone else.
Told next guy this was first letter received from them and he said he apologises for mistake and he will send the first letter that they stated I should already have received.
So they are messing me around and are not playing ball.
So will go to FOS
This outfit is totally unprofessional0 -
I don't understand why people keep phoning them, no operator will know your history, they won't have access to it, so just WRITE to them......Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Well they made out that they had sent out a letter requesting further info this I never received.
When queried they didn't have a clue, basically said claim rejected so that was on there system.
Shall write to them as advised0 -
You might as well just refer it ot the ombudsman and let them deal with it.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
