Campsites Question

Bit of a shot in the dark with this question, but you lot are good at knowing allsorts about allsorts, so you never know.
I spotted an advert for a campsite (absolutely no idea where) and it had individual pitches which were separated from neighbouring pitches by hedging, so your pitch was a little more private.
Wasn't considering going camping so didn't pay any attention, but my lovely saved up Tesco vouchers have now been earmarked for use in MFI instead of being used towards a holiday, so I might be looking at camping again for a cheapo break after all.
Does anyone know of anywhere that sounds like this? I've hunted for the ad but can't find it and I can't remember what the site was called either.
The last time we went camping, we had people continually walking past our tent at all hours and it really bothered our daughter. I did phone a couple of sites just to query whether we could specifically book a pitch in the corner somewhere but it's a case of first come first served.
Any ideas of which site I'm talking about?

You're handy to have around, you're coming to my rescue with more advice again albalad, lol.

The first link actually sounds better than the site I was originally looking for.
Thanks for the website info, I think I will post a query.
As for distance.......it looks like anything we want these days is going to involve a fair bit of travelling! Lol.Herman - MP for all!

Oh if you are thinking about going really South, I have friends who are wardens on caravan sites, one at Ringwood and the other, well further South but both would make you very welcome

just don't tell them you know me...0 -

Where is Ringwood and further South. I have now got Whitsun week off with kids which is great and thought we could take them away. I'm shocked at the prices. Started off with 1 or 2 nights in luxury hotel to 1 or 2 nights in budget accommodation now looking at camping/caravan!!0 -
if you cant find one with hedges, buy a couple of beach windbreaks and make a fence round the tent with them.We do this at the front of ours to make a sort of little garden area and if you have the fronts overlapping ,it stops people staring in when its too hot to have the door shut.
ringwood is in southhampton. If its the one we camped in overnight, dont camp near the outer hedge,we were awake all night with the sound of traffic(only stayed one night).0 -
Oh lol culpepper! It's not a 'door' (apparently) it's a 'flap'! So I was told the last time I called it a door.

Good idea about the windbreaks, if I didn't find one with hedges. I like the idea of hedges though,................. and turrets ...................and machine guns and..............oh sorry, I was just remembering how much they annoyed us last time.

How much is it these days to go camping with a tent? Just 2 adults and maybe 2 dogs?0
-
Camping is anything from £6-12 per night depending on the time of year and the popularity of the campsite. The cost usually includes the tent and 2 people. Kids are then approx 2 each per night (just for info!) and dogs are £2-3 each per night. With most sites you are usually you are only allowed 2 dogs max. Some camps only allow 1 and others none but for those who do take dogs you have to check with the campsite on the type of dog you have as they have restrictons on certain breeds of dogs.0
