My conservatory roof is leaking !!

I inherited a lovely conservatory when I bought my house. It's got a pitched roof and when it rains heavily water drips through the roofline in a couple of places, and also along the back wall where the edge of the conservatory meets the house. I daren't get anyone out in case they tell me the whole thing needs fixing - Is there anything I can do? What if I used the sort of sealant you get round the bath along the edges of the roofline? Do you think that might do it? If anyone knows anything about conservatories/building in general I'd be soooooo grateful. I want to redecorate in there but what is the point with all this water dripping through??

  • If it is bad it will be worth getting it investigated. At least you'll know what the problem is. Sounds like you want to try and get away with a cheap temporary fix, but as it says in the name this is only temporary

It might still be under guarentee with the people who fitted it. Look through your paperwork from when you got the house. Or you might be covered in your house insurance to get it fixed if is costly?

It might just need some simply work like replacing the lead flashing or some sealant, easy job if that's what's wrong.
