Hi,
Was wondering if anyone had dealings with these. I got a call from them and was going to get a phone with them.
When they asked for payment I wasn't interested due to affordability. The guy hung up. Later that day I received a txt from my bank advising of attempted payments and one was from these for 84 quid. I didn't give them authority for this.
I have asked for their complaints policy but as I am not a customer and they didn't take any monies they wont provide it - can someone advise if this is the case. I was always under the impression that a company had to provide a policy. They have nothing if such on their site.
No money was taken but I have an issue when a company try to take cash from you when you haven't authorised it.
Cheers

They couldn't have tried taking money from your account unless you gave them the details. If assordability was the issue why wouldn't you know that before giving out such information?
You have a misconception about complaints policies. Those that do have them usually pay lip service anyway but are outweighed by those which don't.
If you're concerned about dealing with a website, either research it properly first - or avoid it. Otherwise you might as well give out personal information to a man on a street.0 -
Only one was from them? How many other cold-callers that day did you give your bank details to? It may not be a complaints policy that you need to consult...MWAUGH1983 wrote: »

Cheers for the sarcasm but the bank wanted to confirm payments from account one was a cash withdrawl that day and the other was mobile finder. I told them not to take money yet they clearly attempted.0 -

Well yeah I did give the details and when they said they wanted to take a payment I said no thanks and the guy hung up. This doesn't give them the right to take payment when I told them not too. If they said at the time they wanted a payment I would have politely decline.
I only ask them for their complaints policy as I wasn't getting anywhere and they said they don't have to as I wasn't a customer - if I wasn't a customer then why try to take payment.
Not to worry im not looking for a ticking off or be patronised im looking for advice.0 -
Sorry, couldn't resist. How did they come to have your number?MWAUGH1983 wrote: »Cheers for the sarcasmEvolution, not revolution0 -
Well it was an application I made. I asked them who they were, only after I saw a ton of complaints that they aren't to be trusted. Appears they have been at it for a while.
Im reporting them to OFT as they seem bogus - when you complain all you get is attitude and people hanging up.
Im disappointed in myself but you learn from your mistakes.0
