Where to hire a car in south europe as 24 year old with no young drivers fee

Looking to drive about the mediterrain for 2 or 3 weeks this summer.

I'm looking to hire a car. Could collect from most places in europe.

Where's the cheapest place/company to hire from?

Ideally - unlimited mileage
No restriction on crossing between EU countries
No young drivers fee (24 years old, 2 and a bit years of holding driving license.

Cheap

Car - small would be perfect.

Thanks for your advices

    Not possible.

Either pay for a car with driver, or just take the train.

It certainly is possible to hire without a young drivers fee if 24 and hiring in the UK - e.g with arnold clark. Why are you so sure it isn't the case in the rest of europe?

Well I just entered 24-year old driver for June, Barcelona, in Autoeurope.com, the cars came up without any objections. I think there's normally no restrictions or special insurance needed for continental EU cross border travel (there being no borders), as long as you don't try to go to Albania, Morocco, etc. Best to check the actual car rental firms' websites for more info. You sound adventurous - give it a go.

It is possible, just extremely difficult. A couple of places in South France for example (Buggs) will rent with no surcharge (though it may be further from the Med than the OP wants to go).

Very close to being perfect - unfortunately needs 3 years driving license - and I only have 2. Do you know of any others?

    Thanks

Sorry I don't know any more, but I know the surcharge is pretty cheap in Spain. I just did a search for Girona (near the French border - the Mediterranean is huge, it would help to be more specific!) and the surcharge is about £3.50 a day.
