travel lodge with three children

Hi, looking for some advice. I have three small children and would like to take them away with my husband for half term. Two of my children are happy to share a single bed so squeezing them into a travel lodge room won't be a problem. My issue is sneeking them in past reception. Can anyone recommend a travel lodge where my husband can check in and then me and my tribe can sneek in a different door? Or access our room without passing reception?
Thank you for your help.

Why are you sneaking in, just be honest and ask for a family room.

there will be a double bed and a pull out sofa which will also be double. Ask them what they have available.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

One of you and one child checks in. Five minutes later, text the other the room number and they can follow on with the other 2 children. Not sure they'd particularly notice, to be honest.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I have never found a Travelodge that you can not easily sneak past the staff even if they did care how many kids you have with you ;)

The refurbished family rooms seem to have a kingsize bed, with two pullout single beds rather than the old double bed and convertible double sofa bed

Whilst you most likely would get away with it, keep in mind that what you are suggesting will invalidate the hotel's insurance in the event of a fire or other emergency. Can you not find anywhere that has rooms for five?

How many seats do you use in a car or on a plane?

If there are five of you, book rooms that will adequately accommodate you.

Most hotels offer a discounted rate for two rooms in this situation.

Can you get a TL doing the reductions and get 2 rooms - you and hubby in a room each and split the kids between you

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I know prices are good for TL stays. That would be torture for me now and as a kid . Love a bit of space . my mum used to pack all 4 boys in a tent . a field with a tree and a river . bliss

And more importantly, in the event of a serious fire, they won't know one of your children was there.
