ESA Fit notes

Where do you send them? Is it the same for everyone or does it depend on where you live?

I also saw online that if you put your mobile number on the fit note, they will text you when they receive it, to let you know.Is that right? All sounds rather to helpful for DWP:D

It's true, they will text you when they receive the fit note. Just make sure you have completed your name and NI number on the back of the form. You would be amazed at how many arrived with just a name on them.

I applied for ESA by phone on Tue ( contribution based ) the helpful lady said not to wait for envelope and gave me freepost address to send for my area. Saw GP on Thursday - sent it off straightaway. Got text Fri saying ESA had been awarded! I was literally amazed at the efficiency of it ! Lol

You can take fit notes to the job centre as well and they scan them into your account straight away

Mine was paid within a week. Applied on Thursday, money in account following friday even though two bank holidays.
Housing and council tax benefit was done by following Wednesday.
I was told that a week before fit note runs out id get a letter reminding me which includes an envelope to send it.

If you want to take anything to the Job Centre you need to make an appointment first. Many offices will turn you away without one.
