Protip: you can't.
I challenge you to find another UK media outlet that I am forced to pay for under threat of imprisonment even if I don't use it if I choose to use one of their competitors.0 -
The fundamental problem with bias is that the British people are biased against idiots running the country.
Hence Miliband lost.0 -
@gen - I wasn't aware that the long arm of the British law extended quite as far as the antipodes, but if we can use not paying the licence fee as a pretext for throwing Australians in jail then this appears to be the formula for winning the ashes this summer.0

When the BBC agenda is almost a carbon copy of other news channels... ITV, Sky, Channel 4.... news papers and radio.... it makes me wonder.
If you want independent news you will see a refreshing range of topics on:
UK Column
Huffington Post
There must be others......
Enjoy!Peace.0 -

The unique way that the BBC is funded goes out of the window over here. BBC TV and interwebs are all stuffed with ads in a similar way.0 -
The good news is the BBC website has just undergone yet another expensive revamp.
Johnny foreigner doesn't have to pay for that either 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
I still haven't worked out why I need to pay a license fee to watch live TV on other channels or to fund dross like EastEnders which hardly needs a trust and executive ensuring editorial independence.
The license fee is a dinosaur dreamt up when the BBC had a monopoly and a time when if you didn't hear it live you missed it.
Just another tax with a fancy name - like national insurance.0
