Presumably he is acquainted with the esteem in which he is held by the BPA?
I wonder whether BPA members are quite so impressed now with the seemingly strategic error voiced by their representatives? I expect the 'rah, rah, rah' will be quieted!
Whatever the outcome of the consultation, I can't see life getting any easier for PPCs from here on - Beavis, or no Beavis.
Look forward to learning of next steps.
It's still on their website!

I feel that if Pickles does land at the DCLG again (doubtless with a hefty thump!) someone must apprise him of that blog (and yes, BPA, I do have a screen grab so it's too late to take it down!)Je suis Charlie.0 -

In that blog the closing paragraph starts
In fact quite the opposite is true. All motorists come into contact with parking enforcement almost every day. Furthermore there are over 10 million parking fines issued every year (this includes the 2.5 million fake PPC 'fines') so unless there are a lot of serial offenders then about one third of all motorists will receive a parking fine every year. Most motorists never come into contact with parking enforcement, but the headlines and some politicians will make you believe otherwise.0 -

mmmmm ?
Biog shows Greg is a graduate economistBefore entering politics, Greg worked for the Boston Consulting Group, one of the world’s top business strategy firms.
Lets hope that doesn't mean he'll view the PPC's in the same way the CoA did0 -
According to Sky News, Mr Pickles becomes the "Anti-corruption Tsar"; which seems very appropriate given how some PPC's operate, "allegedly".0

Hopefully no relation to Steve Clark? :eek:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
