Hi I have £10000 to put into savings and I am looking for a savings account that pays monthly interest that will allow me to get at the money as and when I need it, any advice thanks?

In that case if you want the best return it's not a savings account you need but a current account.
Take your pick and mix from
TSB 5%
Nationwide 5%
Lloyds 4%
Tesco 3%
Each have different limits below £10k so you'll need several accounts, down to you which mix and match.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Do I need other accounts or my wages paid in to have one of these accounts?

No you just need to pay in a minimum amount each month. Of course you can take it out as soon as you have paid it in, or you can take it out and put it back in immediately.
Lloyds also needs 2 monthly paying DDs.
Lots of threads on all these accounts on the Forum.0 -
Santander will give you 3% on the whole lot, two DD's but cashback on dd's0
