Well hello to everyone here in DFW land. What a day. Im sure everyones bored stiff of the election chat, suffice to say I was shocked to wake up to that news, and its all anyones talked about in the cafe today.
After a rubbish 2 day stint Monday/Tuesday the trade really came back, & the finals for the week have put me in a much better position to deal with the BIG week of payments next week. Not out of the woods yet, but I am grateful for the turn around.
Something major happened today as well. I am still feeling a bit shocked. I logged on to do my business banking, & it looks as though for some reason my accountant has managed to get me a large VAT rebate. I dont know why. I called one of them, but he didnt know, & the other had left for the weekend. I cant find out till monday. I know this should make me happy but right now I feel a bit sick with worry in case they give it me, then demand it back, if you know what I mean. I am always wary of all things HMRC. So I will be interested to hear what the logic behind it is. I suspect & may be wrong, but, that it is all the electric I paid for whilst the place was closed, that the insurance covered eventually, but there is VAT on it you see. Anyway, definately not mentally cashing that one out until I know for sure its legit.
Small things.
1) £3 tips
2) Cycled everywhere
3) 5th personal NSD of the month, aiming for 20
4) Tommorows activities are all paid for in advance, with the exception for a small gift for a childs birthday party
I cant think of any others right now. Congrats again to Ally.

Haha! This was me the other day but I bolted under the pressure and didn't buy either! Still not got one yet haha! Want to look around as they seamed so expensive since I last brought a lightbulb :rotfl: :money:Debt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0 -
'Following' the great Cheap vs Energy-Saving DFW-MSE lightbulb-buying debate...!!!
I always seem to buy cheap and then they 'blow' and I regret buying it. Then I go to the shops, look at the ridiculous prices and opt for the cheap one again... vicious lightbulb circle!0 -

Evening DFW-Ninjas,
Erm, don't really know what to post today. Still a bit stunned. Think I'll see if there's anything useful to pass on...
New Era Day One:
:grinheart Worked a 40 hour week this week. Usually I do an hour or two less than that.
:grinheart Limited Friday purchase in the canteen. One bottle of Lucozade. Did not buy crisps, though I was tempted.
:grinheart Celebratory £1 Iceland pizza late last night.
:grinheart Check how many Tesco Clubcard vouchers are soon coming our way. Nearly a fiver. Not bad considering we hardly shop there! (Link)
Freebies:
:grinheart Free Greggs sausage roll and/or Coke Zero. (Link)
Competition:
:grinheart Win Minions sweeties and goodies? (Link)
News:
:grinheart If you have an RBS YourPoints credit card I recommend you read this article and spend your points before the scheme is axed. (Link)
:grinheart Info on the new Amazon delivery charges. (Link)
That's all for now. Good luck on your quests, Ninjas.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
