Does 50 50 claim affect ncd?

  • if you make a claim where your policy pays out and do not make a full recovery before renewal you will be negatively affected.

    that includes non fault claims and 50/50 claims.
    recovery of losses is the important thing.

    There are 'losses " - you reported them to your insurer (both vehicles sustained damage).

    Not claiming is irrelevant to this.

    Your reported incident has affected your premium

    I forgot to add, when I called them a couple weeks ago (which was a couple weeks after the incident ), they actually said they'd closed the file on it.

    Is it therefore unusal that it's still logged?
    No.


    The incident/loss remains as part of your history even though no claim ensued. (Though the third party has 6 years to instigate a claim against you)
