Just had a walk over to the polling station and for the first time I can ever remember in over fifty years of voting I had to queue to vote !!! i
'interesting times ' as the saying goes :):):) Hopefully who ever gets in will honour their promises, but I won't hold my breath waiting though.
Boiler service chap has just rung and he is coming at lunchtime which is good as thats another job out of the way.
Then my gardener mick is coming around 11 to mow and weed the garden.he is a smashing chap and keeps the garden really neat and tidy for me as my gardening and banding days are long gone :):):) but I'm 100% at looking and sitting in it still :):):)

    Morning,

Hugs to the poorly ones and anyone who needs one!

Woke up to a beautiful, sunny day...decided my young veggie plants could benefit from a few hours of it...got to work and the heavens opened!! My poor poor plants- a little rain would do them good but i'm not sure how they will cope with this down pour :(:( The report said nothing of rain and i'm stuck at work until after lunch, fingers crossed for them!

Lots of housework to get done this afternoon which includes 2 loads of washing...will try and make room for the clothes horse in the house. Meal plan needs to be done too. Vegetable stir-fry and noodles for tea tonight, DD has asked for some bacon with hers so got that out to defrost this morning. Will pop 'bacon pasta bake' in tomorrow nights dinner slot.

Will toddle off to put my vote in this evening, will be interesting to see who wins this year- almost everyone i have asked has answered as 'Have no idea!' Hopefully the rain will disappear this afternoon and i can get pooch out for a little wander.

Right, best get on and earn those pennies.
    Have good days all xx

    Afternoon all,
Judi I hope the wedding goes well and EVERYONE has a good day

Thank you. The mens suits arrived last night minus cuff links. Luckily hubby has a pair but I need to go out tomorrow to buy some for 'Youngest'. The cheapest pair possible I think as although he does have a suit, I think he wont be wearing it very often. Need to pop out tomorrow and get cards, confetti and a few bits and pieces for the day itself. The men need hair cuts too but hubby is working down South and wont be back till late Friday and 'Youngest' is doing long hours so I am doing as much as I can without them.

Fairly quiet day today although ive got my youngest Grandson as usual as its Thursday, he's fast asleep so I thought I'd creep on here before he wakes. I haven't heard from my other daughter. They arrived back to the Midlands late last night. I did message her but haven't heard back from her. I guess they must have having a day of rest as they drove nearly 400 miles yesterday.

TA thinking of you. The procedure you had sounds as though it would leave you very sore afterwards. I hope it solves your UTI's.

Elona, thinking of you too. Many (((hugs).

Its wet and miserable here, thank goodness I don't need to go out today. Fortunately not even to vote. Hubby opted for a postal vote a couple of years ago due to his job and I followed suit. Our votes have already been cast (but not counted as yet I shouldn't imagine).

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

    Hi all,

I,m feeling more Human today, so have done all the washing, ironing etc I need to whip round with the hoover and polish too.

I got a tiny bit of good luck this week, I,ve been looking to buy a small cast iron casserole dish in Mr S, they are £30, so have been Hmm,ing and Haa,ing - well, I was having a nose through MSE site and noticed a £20 off £60 spend for new Mr S home delivery shopper,s, as I havn,t used them for ages, I thought i,d give it a go - and it worked..... So my new pot was topped up with some cat food, washing powder, loo roll etc, things I would normally buy all for £41 inc the £1 delivery charge - essentially getting the pot for a tenner :)

Have made shortbead and a loaf of bread today and will bake a couple of sponges this PM for friends and snacking.

Off to vote about 7'ish after dinner with DH - DD has gone for the first time, didn,t want me with her, went with friends.

Hugs to all that need ,em

Have a fab day all x

We all know "honest politician" is an oxymoron! :D

Mr LW and I will trundle down to vote when he gets in from work tonight; he'll get the wheelchair and cart me down in that, as it's only a couple of hundred yards to the polling station.:o

    Afternoon all,

Some lovely sunshine today and have just pegged out second lot of washing. It's breezy enough to dry (I hope).

Walked with my friend this morning then she did my roots for me and gave me a little trim up.

Will toddle off to vote later, I expect DS2 will come with us this time as it will the first time he is eligible to vote.

Need to sort out breakdown cover for the car we are taking to Scotland next week, thinking we will go with the Autoaid lot as it is so much cheaper than the AA/RAC.

Not sure what is for dinner, quite possibly ham, egg and chips.

Hugs to TA, Elona & Molly
Hubby & I voted about an hour ago, we saw a funny sight, a chap walking with a girl/woman, she was wearing the highest, wobbliest red shoes I've ever seen and a very tight & inappropriate dress, She was shuffling rather than walking, he looked to be in his late 50's & she looked about 15. We did wonder if she was a Thai bride.
I'm going to look in my sewing room for some fabric to make bunting from after tea & I will do some more crochet.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

I remember as a child my parents going to vote. It was a big important thing in the family. My Mom and Dad would walk up to the polling station after Dad had finished work. As children we would go with them. It was such an important thing in our lives that I always vote. I'd feel guilty if I didn't.

Incidentally this is the first year in 30 years me and hubby have voted for the same party.
