If it is ms will an MRI definitely show this or if theres something else wrong? im more concerned in case whatever it is it doesn't show up and then they discharge me as its getting worse, especially the tiredness, im just tired 24/7 at the minute and no amount of sleep is taking it away
Are you taking any medication? I've had the tiredness for the last few weeks and have come to the conclusion (why it's just started despite the same dose since mid December) it's the medication.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

No not taking anything at all and gp didn't want to prescribe anything as he said some meds affect the results of MRI. So far its all been my left side but that pins and needles and heavy feeling in my head seems to be on the right now aswell. I can handle the pain and loss of sensation its the tiredness and constant itch that's driving me mad0

Are these symptoms constant, or are there times when you are symptom free?
It was my understanding that for migraine, by definition, though there can be a wide constellation of neural effects (I get aphasia, for example) - it is intermittent.0 -
it came on a month ago now and getting worse, first it was the loss of sensation in the arm and leg which has remained, then the terrible itch, thats still there. Then cam the feeling like id been burnt, that comes and goes as does the back and chest pain (all left side). The pins and needles type feeling in my head is there 90 percent of the time and the tiredness seems never ending. Also confusion and memory loss always there. Luckily the eyesight loss has only happened once. balance a bit off too. They did all reflex tests at hospital, scratched my foot with a sharp stick, checked my feeling on left side compared to right and tested my tandem walking, that all came back showing problems so neurologist said its a problem with right side of brain0

Do you have the funds to pay for an MRI privately? That would be the quickest option for putting your mind at rest.
If not, get your GP to chase it - speak with the practice manager to see if they can fund it.0 -
unhappy with any consultant then ask your GP to refer you to another, they can and should do that if asked0
