Flight difference of around 5-7 hours

I know he obvious answer to this is its a slower plane but im looking at flights to vegas later in the year.

The cheapest flight is 17 hours there and 15 hours back.
The second cheapest 10 hours there and 10 hours back.

Why would there be a 7 hour difference one flight? Both direct flights.
Are we really just talking about it being a slower plane?

No it won't be a slower plane - what are the flight numbers? The only scenario I can come up with is whatever site you're looking at has mislabelled one as a non-stop.

It can't take 7 hours longer to fly the same route on a commercial airliner. The longer flight must be either a one stop with change or a refueling stop, although at 5-7 hours is unlikely. Technically a flight that stops to refuel would still be non-stop.

US211 and US210 - is that the flight number? Its been 2-3 years since I have been on a flight so not 100% what they should look like.

According to momondo its manchester to vegas.

That could have been fun. Getting there wondering where all the casinos are.

    Thanks for that.

Can I also just ask, flights are coming back at about £265 each one way. So just over a grand for 2 return. Is that pretty much as low as it gets?

Seems quite good but im just wondering if its likely to come down at all? Im looking for the end of september (24th-ish).

Looks like they have missed off the 2nd flight number and tagged it incorrectly as Direct....will be a transfer in JFK I would guess (accounting for the longer flight time)

It'll be two flights each way. I suspect only Thomas Cook will fly direct from Manchester to Vegas.

£530 return is certainly towards the cheap end of the far spectrum. LAX might be slightly cheaper than Vegas.

Here's the BA cheap fare finder which is a useful guide.

A direct flight is not the same as a non stop flight.

Non stop - is a single flight between 2 airports with no stops

A direct flight - makes at least one intermediary stop along the way to its final destination but has only one flight number

Which isn't the case here as there are no one stop direct flights from Manchester to Las Vegas.
