Which brand for kitchen appliances?

One of the decisions I need to make about the kitchen I'm planning is what brand of appliances to get.
Should I get the same brand for everything? Are some brands better at some appliances than others?
I'm planning to get:
American fridge-freezer
integrated washing machine (perhaps with dryer included?)
integrated dishwasher (never had one before, so don't know what to look for)
extractor hood
induction hob
double eye-level oven
I was considering Bosch for everything, but I've heard their quality has reduced recently. Maybe it's better to get a combination of different appliances?
My head is spinning. Any suggestions?

Before I start:
AEG & Electrolux are the same company
Neff, Bosch & Siemens are the same company (BSH)
If you're looking at the BSH appliances, then the top of the pile is Siemens, followed by Neff and Bosch at the bottom. Don't think that Bosch aren't any good, but you're probably better off paying for Neff kit as it's "specialist", even though it's all made at the same place.
I don't think there's a great deal in price between Neff & Bosch either. Forget Siemens though, way more expensive. Our Neff extractor fan was £1100, the Siemens version (which was identical bar 1 feature) was another £800. OK, some of the internals might have been better quality, but I highly doubt it's £800 worth of difference, and for things like an extractor - will you really notice?Cashback

Miele it costs alot and they don't do a American fridge but they are very good0

We had a new kitchen eighteen months ago and replaced all the appliances with Siemens products,to date no issues and we are happy with our choice0

We've picked a Samsung American fridge freezer, Neff dishwasher and microwave and Rangemaster range cooker for our new kitchen. We're not replacing the washing machine which is a Hotpoint, 5 years old and good as new.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

American fridge freezer - look inside, in some cheaper ones the ice maker takes up half the freezer. I've had an LG for 10 years with no problems.
Integrated washing machine - if you have to but not with a dryer. The dryers are slow, only dry half a load & you can't wash at the same time. Washing & drying one load takes for ever.
Dishwasher - get a good name, I'd have Bosch.
Extractor hood - go for the quietest, they all extract fine.
I've no experience of induction hobs.
Double oven - check cavity sizes, they vary a lot.
As for makes, you'll get as many answers as there are makes. Miele are good for washing machines but I wouldn't pay their prices for anything else.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Cousin re-equipped her house with Siemens kit when she got a staff discount. Had we been able to afford even with her percent off, it could have been amazing, but we were on an entry level budget.
Rather than cry myself to sleep, I daydream Neff\Bosch\Miele refit in the unlikely event of a lottery win.0 -
Just remember..AEG are not the solid German company they once were. That company is defunct and the brand was bought by Electrolux. I know this to my regret and cost.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Why does everyone want an American fridge? You'll end up with an American waist lineChanging the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

AEG stuff is OK now, it was really poor for a few years up until about four years ago. Certainly the ovens and induction hobs which are German made are decent these days. Got mostly AEG stuff myself now and have had no problems so far in the three years I have had it.
Neff is decent and still not too expensive. Siemens, you are paying for style as the innards are mostly the same as Neff.
Miele is expensive, not particularly stylish but brilliant.0
