How to get rid of tadpoles from garden pond?

Moved to new house couple of weeks back. It has a large garden with a pond [5 ft x 3 ft with appx 8-10 inches of standing water].
 I discovered there are probably 10,000+ tadpoles there!
I swooped several buckets of water and threw into my lawn yet seems it is never ending.
How to quickly get rid of them?

How to quickly get rid of them?

Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Leave them be and wait for them to grow up and move on.0

once they turn into frogs they will drown and rot at the bottom of your pond unless you give them a way to get out of the pond. Most pond owners never bother or think about how to help wildlife or pets such as cats if they happen to fall in water.

Why would you want to get rid of them? Don't worry you won't end up with 10000 frogs!0

However, you might be able to find out whether there is a local school or wildlife reserve which might allow you to transfer them to their pond. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -

The poor tadpoles
. They need all the help they can get with the lack of habitats now. Why do you not like them?
Just make sure they can easily get out of the pond once they get their legs. They'll soon be gone. Though, to be honest, they may come back to breed once they're adults.0 -
Imagining the scene of 1000+ frogs jumping around my garden makes me very nervous
I don't care if they are just tadpoles and they can live in pond. But they will turn to frogs and that's where my trouble will start.

You won't be overrun by frogs if you just leave them be. However, if you kill their offspring all the local frogs may come to get you while you sleep.0

I thought frogs were protected,
Plus you will be over run with slugs and snails if you don't help the frogs ....
out of interest i too take over 10,000 frog spawn out of my pond every year, i transfer them to buckets and tanks, feed them fish food, separate the froglets from the tadpoles as the tads will eat the froglets, (hence the frog shells at the bottom of the pond). last year I let over 400 baby frogs into my garden and down the lane to repopulate the area.
Not sure what or why 'over run' with frogs is a bad thing ???0
