I just found a tenner! This has never happened to me before. I only commented on someone else saying they'd found one a little while earlier so how weird.
I found a penny first. So do we now all believe the find a penny pick it up, luck was the reason for finding the £10 :)

  • Thank you for your support, I will take a look at the links and will get some ideas. It is good to read your posts and get ideas and inspiration to get moving and sort us out.
A bit of basic info, I'm married, 3 children, currently a sahm with an injury and am seeing the doc as I am having pain in my joints, bone pain, tiredness etc. My husband works but his hours have been cut to a stupid amount, and then to make it worse tax credits have decided to be a pain. Tax credits should be a temp thing though.
Currently getting by on £48.10 per week child benefit, and approx. £100 per week husband's income. For a family of 5. That's it. Luckily we have help with the rent and council tax as of this week onwards.
Hence the sorting and selling, meal planning, budgeting etc.
We will get there! Will keep popping in each day and keep up to date with you lovely lot, thank you xx

    Hey purple

Tax credits will come through and there backdate to day of your claim. I've had nightmare after nightmare but eventually it all gets sorted. Living on next to nothing though, just improve your spending as you get use to not living on nothing!! Hope things get sorted quickly!

Very speedy day today. Brought things for house and garden but it was all my own cash (as I never got last weeks pay til the day before this one, I had a whole pay packet spared!) been living off little stashes of money and left over money from previous week

Got over the whole plot today and pretty much removed all the rubbish now. Planted tomatoes, onions and put in one surviving berry bush from last year! Also done 4 pots of herbs. It actually looks like a proper veg patch now. Will plant somthing else tomorrow after work before cinema trip (if it happens, friend a little poorly)

Every bone aches after been out there all day, but better than sitting on my bum all day. Kids enjoyed it too, even if they didn't quite do things right at times...

Just had a half hour rest and going to tidy living room, pretty much rearranged now. Just few more bits. Rest of house is bombed but can only do so much, days no long enough!

    Night all
