I agree, contact HA to confirm that a business supplier is supplying a domestic registered property. I read Haven Power meters which supplier the landlords lighting for flats which comes under business supply. Have your meter details been mixed up with the lighting and alarms meter, sometimes they are even in one of the flats near the domestic meter. I have been reading Haven Power meters for years and can t recall ever visiting domestic premises before for a reading.Switching from business to domestic supply can be a long drawn out process needing proof that there is no business status by sending in council tax details

Its owned by you and in this case is nothing whatsoever to do with the HA, you will have a mortgage with a mortgage lender [Halifax Barclays nationwide etc or, if its paid to term you will have the 'deeds' to your home. The HA own the rights to the attic, roof and walls [fabric] of the dwelling and the responsibility for their upkeep. There was a drive about a decade ago by HA's to 'block contract supply' for example 1000 [volunteer] rent only homes. This was quickly dropped by HA's as unworkable, it never included shared ownership because they only own the fabric. Any changes you make for example an extreme complete rip out of NSCH and a gas supply and combi install you would be responsible for including a changed EPC and the maintenance over the life of the shared ownership agreement.
