                    Hi there,
I have read the sticky threads on this topic but I'd like a little specific guidance and clarification, this is the first time I received a PCN and obviously the threat of court action is not a desirable prospect but general consensus appears to be these are easily avoided. Help!
I got a windscreen parking charge notice from Excel Parking Services ltd last week in Nottingham for "Not parked in a bay", for the staple £100, or reduced charge of £60 if paid promptly. They say this has been filmed.
What action should I take?
Thanks
DJ

Is there no advice for this?0

yep, the NEWBIES sticky thread tells you to appeal when the NTK arrives, so appeal when the NTK arrives , simples
but if they dont cancel the IAS appeal is a waste of time, so ignore, for 6 years, unless you get court papers
yours is no different to the hundreds of other EXCEL or VCS threads we get on here, so same advice regardless

"They say this has been filmed"
Did they actually say that? I doubt it, maybe their tame monkey took a photograph on his Argos camera!0

I received the NTK, responded with an email following the template from one of the links. I have received a further letter saying I have failed to meet the challenge date (even though the NTK states 21 days and the email was sent with 4), I responded to this showing clearly the dates letters and emails were sent with regards to the challenge.
I have now received a request from ZZPS Limited for an increased price of £150.
Continue to ignore? Respond clarifying challenge position with ZZPS?0

read post #4 of the NEWBIES sticky thread
then IGNORE anything from debt collectors
only respond to an official LBC or MCOL from Excel (the parking company)
you were already told this in post #3 abovebut if they dont cancel the IAS appeal is a waste of time, so ignore, for 6 years, unless you get court papers0

An IAS rejection of an appeal is virtually a free pass. Their anonymously ill considered decisions are so flawed that, should you show one to a judge, he/she would almost certainly dismiss the claim as the PPC did not offer an independent appeal service. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
