  • Good Afternoon everyone, another strange day down here cloudy and cold this morning, enough to walk with hat and gloves early on but cloudy and stickily warm this afternoon, enough to undo coats when walking the hound, He Who Knows and DD have done her 'heavy' shopping this morning and had lunch at a garden centre, last spoken to they were sitting in the sun in her garden having had a tidy up and mown the lawns.

ELONA lovely to see you posting today, difficult times but you are a sensible lass and you have your familys support and understanding and I love that you sat and remembered and enjoyed the remembering last night, there's a rightness to that isn't there? Mr E will have been giggling too and remembering! Chin up chicken, you'll do! Lyn xxx.

    Afternoon all,

Thinking of you lots Elona x

Judi - Your DD and her partner sound like lovely girls. I bet you are so proud :) Make the most of your time with them and Soldier.

Today has been bitty. Helped DH paint some doors in his brothers house, then we did the Aldi shop. Had some lunch then he had to go to B&Q to order some stuff for another job before we popped to the shopping centre to buy all the birthday/wedding cards for this month!

It's one of DH's sort of friend's birthday bash tonight but I'm unsure as to whether we are going or not. He always wants me to make the decision but it's his mate so he should decide!

Have a good evening all :)

    Afternoon all
I've not managed to get on here for a few days so only just seen Elona's news, so very sorry, I have a candle lit for you & for BB's loss too.
It's been overcast & chilly here too, despite that we have the french doors open as hubby cut the grass earlier & I just love the smell.
Our 4 year old DGD stayed last night, after a full week at nursery & a dance lesson she was flagging by 6 o'clock but I managed to string her along until 7 as she sleeps 12 hours & I was desperate not to get up before 7 this morning. Mind you we were making cakes by 8 o'clock this morning! She went home about an hour ago & I've cooked tea for hubby, none for me as I'm not hungry yet.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

    Hi everyone
So pleased to see you posting Elona. ((Hugs))
Judi enjoy your daughter & grandson
Overcast dull weather matches our feelings DDIL had a miscarriage on Thursday, very early on 5 weeks, but they had done a lot of DIY at the weekend getting their flat ready to sell. I knew that trying was on the cards, and she is OK but hormones all over the place. Hopefully better luck next time. Not mentioned this on Fbook.
Salad for tea, too cold to. BBQ!
Take care everyone. ((Hugs)). spoons positive vibes all round. DG

I too have only just seen Elona's sad news; I'm rubbish with words, but I can at least offer you a (((HUG))) - please know that you're in my thoughts.

Sorry folks, I've been overwhelmed with "life" the last few days, and not getting enough time to get onto MSE much. Plus I'm the sort of person who, when it all goes t*ts up, disappears to lick their wounds in private.

    I'll try and do better.:o

    Good evening everyone,

I do enjoy reading everyone's posts.

redruby and Gers, hope you both have a lovely weekend.

Judi, I do hope you enjoy having your DD & partner and little grandson with you.

    Lamewolf hope things improve soon.

DG & BB sorry to hear your sad news.

Elona, so glad you have such happy memories and are sharing and laughing with all the family. Look after yourself.

Its been a rather grey day here, caught up on the housework and some of the washing. More ironing and washing to do, but it can wait until tomorrow.

Its the Sweeps festival here this weekend, so hoping to pop down and enjoy it tomorrow. Last year the weather was so much better, rather cold today.

    smileys-hugs-079668.gif Hugs to everyone.
