Today will be HM Mushy pea soup and HM soda bread. #10 Not sure about the soup but I will try it. Didn't cost me anything as I had it all in the cupboard so decided to give it a go

scotmum you couldn't by and chance share your soda bread recipe?
I love soda bread.0 -
Sure marmite. It's the one in A girl called Jacks' book. DH loves it

300ml semi skim milk
juice of 1/2 a lemon
400g SR flour
1 tsp salt (optional)
1 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda.
Put the milk in a jug and add the lemon juice. Leave to sit for 5 mins til the milk starts to curdle. Sift the flour, salt and bicarb into a bowl and then stir in the milk mixture and mix to a sticky dough with a wooden spoon. Tip out onto a well floured surface and pat lightly into a round shape. Put the dough into a 1lb loaf tin and score a line down the middle with a sharp knife. Dust the top with a little flour and place in a pre heated oven 180 degrees for 40 mins

Me too. I have a whole shelf full of them but this one has actually saved me money. Even my DS2 will eat a lot of the veggie meals which means instead of cooking two meals each night I only cook one.
