Part of "treating customers fairly", according to the FSA is investigating and preventing fraud.
FlameCloud is correct that the insurer should be suspicious and if they failed to investigate a claim that occurred 60 seconds after the inception of the policy, they would be liable for investigation.

If a loss occurs 60 seconds after inception why shouldnt if be paid if it is covered in terms of the policy.
Any layman reading this would think insurance companies are only there to take premiums but not pay claims
i'm delighted the way claims are handled it makes the service of FSA regulated loss assessors more vital to the the insuring public.0 -

I didnt say you shouldnt get paid. Following your statement that there was nothing suspicious about it, I merely said that they might be sceptical. NOTHING about paying the claim or not.
