Being Charged by Virgin £1 a day for Unknown Service!

It may be you have used up the inclusive data and started using the non inclusive each day ???
If you have wifi turned on ...open settings, select wifi then you should see the available networks available, select yours and it should ask you for the password when you try to connect to that network
They say I have used NONE of my 250mb inclusive data. (see screen pic) So this is the big conundrum, and what I'll be having words with them about. I have definitely not used any inclusive data; not even a single byte! Yet I know I have done at least two Google searches, so I think they are ripping me off somehow:
Thanks a lot regarding how to do the password. I just found where you add it. Sadly the password is a separate issue... Think it's one of those days

Agreed it should come out of your inclusive data before they start charging so either way there is a mistake that's happening ...although the timing does point to updates etc at the same time each day ???.They say I have used NONE of my 250mb inclusive data. Providing you have mobile data turned off you shouldn't get any more charges for it
The passwords for your wifi are case sensitive if your having problems with it make sure you use the correct caseIt's not just about the money0 -
You should use your Wifi. If you go into the Settings -> Wifi -> find your Wifi name -> input the password -> make sure the Wifi symbol is displayed at the top you should be OK moving forward...0

If you've not changed it, the password will most likely be as printed on a label on your router.

Thanks guys, I have found it it is the PassPHRASE I am supposed to use not the password. So I am connected to Wi Fi now thankfully!
With regards to the inclusive datas in my tarriff:
Do I have a case to ask for a refund for the extra charges of £1 per day - based on the data I have used so far having NOT been taken from my inclusive data, that I am paying £14 a month for?

How do you know?
The OP said that he had 250Mb allowance untouched.
Sorting out updates and WiFi is useful, but the OP needs to find out the exact reason of £1 in the first place. I don't understand how this can be a problem for a contract with itemised billing.
Hi Grumbler,
Sorry only just seen your post.
The itemised billing says "Using the internet" for every single one of the charged transactions. There are hundreds of these transactions, but none of them are included in my inclusive data, and most of them (thankfully) are free. But the ones just after midnight are £1 each.
I am going to ask for all that money back, as they have not touched the data I already paid for.Look at it this way... In a hundred years who's gonna care?0 -
Why you are being charged £1 on a daily basis is somewhat strange when you aren't using your data.
From the Virgin Mobile PAYM tariff page:
Browsing the mobile web
£1 per day for unlimited usage* within the UK only on days that you access the internet from your phone.
To me that reads as: if you've used your inclusive allowance this is what we'll charge you. Not this it what we'll charge you irrespective of what's stipulated in your plan. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Thanks, that's what I thought. I think they may have made an error. Hopefully I can sort it out tomorrow, I've spent many hours on it today. I am too tired now.
At least I have got Data switched off and Wi Fi switched on.
Thanks everyone for your help! xxxLook at it this way... In a hundred years who's gonna care?0 -
Dont let them fob you off when you call.0

I agree. This certainly looks like a mistake. Their system seems to be charging you the £1/day usage fee around midnight, instead of the usage coming out of your included bundle.0
