PAYG mobile Orange network

My ancient, very basic, Nokia has stopped working and I just want another very cheap replacement.

I know that EE have taken Orange over, but I just want to get a phone that I can put my existing sim card in and carry on as usual on the Orange network (because I get a discount on my Orange broadband).

Any recommendations greatly appreciated because I can't find anything definitive as to whether a replacement phone would carry on working on Orange:o

I think (but am not 100%) that new EE phones will work on Orange. As in they will work with all 3 of the EE brands.

Might be worth asking in store...but go away and research the options before buying as you cannot return in store purchases.

I have been search online for an answer but can't even find a telephone number for EE in order to ask the question:mad:

If you are buying the phone outright the easy answer is any unlocked phone is going to work, so even buying a phone locked to another network and unlocking it is going to work.

Look here £0.99p for an LG L20. Don't neglect to turn mobile data off. If you think that you'd actually like to use the phone, think about paying the extra (£14) for the Lumia 435(actually quite good) or the Huawei Ascend Y330. Look here

You can use any of them via WiFi instead of using mobile data.

Thanks, that's what I wanted to know. So I can just buy any unlocked phone, put my sim card in and away I go:T

In theory yes although depending on what phone you choose it may take a smaller sized sim which is not a problem as you can either get it cut down or order a replacement sim
