ANPR cant appeal to Popla ?

Hi
Hope someone can help with what i need to do next
My wife had a ticket from ANPR 2 months ago
I wrote to them using the standard template from here rejecting their claim as she dropped me off to use the premises while she went to another shop and they only saw her not me so their claim that we did not use the premises we parked on was incorrect.
Anyhow i had not received any correspondence from them at all until 2 days ago with a letter saying we have to pay up.
I rang them and they advised me that they had sent a letter out on the 23rd march with a popla code on it , when i said that we had not received it and could they give the code too me they said that they could not and they had fulfilled their side by sending the letter.
I asked if they had a tracking number but they did not so they have no proof of delivery (which they cant have as we have not had it)
Anyhow i rang popla only to be advised that they have removed ANPR and cannot advise on them anymore.
So my question is what do i do now ?
i have no idea if i need to do anything as i assume that we will get chase letters
and they also of course threaten debt collectors
Thanks in advance

Just ignore them. Debt collectors are no threat, especially the one ANPR Ltd. uses (Expedion) because it's actually just the next desk along at ANPR.
They'll probably send you fake court papers too. If in doubt look for the official seal (which will be missing), and if still in doubt ring the court to check.
And stop 'phoning private parking companies, there is nothing to be gained from it. Same goes for debt collectors.Je suis Charlie.0 -
trevor is a joke , a disgrace to the PPC community , yes he has left , he was booted out with about 16 sanction points against him .
he will try and say its a "trespass" charge , he will send you nasty letters , some with a different name on them
please do not ring or write to him again , only read up on him , if he is stupid enough to try court action , not "may try" , but he actually sends you a compliant letter stating that he "is" starting action , come back to this thread and you will get help.0 -
They were members of the BPA at the time of the incident, so POPLA should still apply. You say you have contacted POPLA, have you been in touch with the BPA...? If they can't prove they sent the code, that's as good as not actually sending it!0

copied from a posting I made a week ago
shows the timeline of his demise
ANPR WERE member of the BPA uptill 2nd April 2015 , as per pranky http://parking-prankster.blogspot.co...f-bpa-aos.html
and according to the BPA dated 13th april
The British Parking Association (BPA) has terminated the membership of ANPR Limited with immediate effect
http://www.britishparking.co.uk/News...f-anpr-limited
and the Muppet himself
http://www.anpr-ltd.com/news.php
Change
It is rumoured that ANPR Ltd are no longer members of the BPA and that we've been 'Kicked Off' off their Approved Operator Scheme. I can confirm that the rumours are 100% true. Ironically our membership was due to expire in March and we made it blatantly clear we will not be renewing our £5,000 membership.
As expected we anticipated a change long ago and have initiated our contingency plan.

I know he has !!!!ed the BPA off , but they are wrong , as they clearly state that "The British Parking Association (BPA) has terminated the membership of ANPR Limited with immediate effect
on the 13th april
any outstanding claims and appeals issued before there suspension should take place
OP , using the dates shown above , re write to the BPA , showing clearly the dates , and the date he was "supposed" to send your number
under BPA guidelines , they are supposed to honour all POPLa codes upto a member leaving
the BPA / POPLa should also be able to check if any codes were issued on the day in question , and if they have been used or not0 -
Thanks all
I have spoken to the BPA now and they have just suggested to keep any correspondence and thats it
So for now thanks to all of the advice i will wait for any news and post back if i get any hassle
Thanks again0 -

I think that you should press for POPLA to consider your appeal. When they find in your favour it will be the perfect rebuttal for any debt collectors letters that are sent on behalf of ANPR.0 -

A few Google searches will reveal some of their many cases. Read and weep (with laughter). My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
the bpa won't do ANYTHING ,
Quote there website:
The BPA is a private membership association, and so has no statutory powers to punish operators that have broken the terms of our Code of Practice."
nor any power to sanction/fine or harm any ex member
private members club , that is sinking as low as the IPC0 -
