  • carbootcrazy and Surfchik80 thank you! It really has been a case with 'they are just things, they are not my Grandad', if I can use them I will, if not sell, then charity or bin. There is just so much stuff to get through

I cant believe that you aunt and uncle were not allowed the day off together. That is just wrong :(
My boss had the cheek to say 'I will take them out of next years holidays so you don't have to lose out on pay'. As if my finances are any concern of his! I need my holidays hours, I can live with reduced pay for a month. And now I have all you lovely people's support I can find it other ways to find money :) (think I needed that rant :rotfl:)

  • I've been pretty rubbish recently with lack of surveys/clixense etc but i have had a few bits come through:

£16.27 - Topcashback credited to bank account
£3.57 - Quidco cashback credited to bank account
£0.99 Spare5 app money credited to bank account.

Total I've made this month is a 1/3 of what I wanted to achieve but I'm still happy with the result considering I have been very busy at work (made permanent from temp role with extra responsibilities recently) and don't fancy sitting down at a computer again once I get home, having been on one all day.

Next month I will strive to do better.
  • Just reached the payout threshold of £50 with Populus. They even emailed to tell me,don't even have to claim it myself. Just checked back and I didn't join them until about 9 months ago so I'm really pleased at making this amount relatively quickly. I don't seem to qualify for a lot of the surveys I'm invited to but the pay for some of theirs is £3 so it does add up, even for someone like me who isn't in a popular demographic. Better than YouGov which also pays out at £50 but takes me about 18 months to get there:(. Populus pay by cheque so will probably have to wait a while before I can declare this in my total. Dead chuffed, though:j

Emzilla, you're doing brilliantly with all your overtime:T. It's better than having a full-time job:)

    Have a good money-making weekend, everyone:beer:

    Happy Saturday :)

Skienzy my total is mostly made up of overtime and bonus at work, other than that I haven't been very proactive at all :o
And congratulations on being made permanent!

carbootcrazy Well done on the payout :T

Quick question - Can a spouse also sign up to do surveys etc with the same companies? Or is it a case of checking each sites policy?
Fiance has decided at last it is a good idea to make an effort to make extra money:j To be fair he does work very long hours so can forgive him for not wanting to do these sorts of things!

Just checked Valued opinions ts&cs and there is nothing to say another person in the household can join. The closest thing it says is 'You may not use another name or email address to complete surveys'.

Just Starting Out - Thanks, i'm still learning the role but I'm enjoying it.

I've decided to set a reminder on my phone everyday to go on Clixsense for at least an hour every evening. My problem is that I do it for a few days and then simply forget or can't be bothered. With the reminder, this attitude will change as I've seen what I can make once I put in a few hours. Whist I'm still paying off debts I just come home from work and watch a tv show or something anyway so I might as well sit down at the Macbook for an hour a day and make some extra money through Clixsense and surveys.

Ignore the post below. Between reading previous posts and writing it you went and posted, Aesop:rotfl:

:hello:to Aesop. Hope you're OK, we haven't seen or heard from you for a few days which is most unusual;)

Maybe you're fully occupied over half-term with your son. Didn't you mention somewhere about getting away for a bargain MSE break?

June thread will be up soon so we'll see you then anyway:beer:
