Don't know what the value is as haven't yet looked at Parkers but finance needs £33K back and thank you for your reply
The cheapest 2013 TT RS on Autotrader is £36995
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201502120890673/sort/default/usedcars/page/1/make/audi/model/tt/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/postcode/bt622hb/channel/cars/radius/1500/maximum-age/up_to_2_years_old/keywords/RS?logcode=p
going up to £39995, so she might not be a million miles away from breaking even0 -
Just did a check there on We Buy Any Car - who wouldnt be the strongest bidders on the likes of a 2013 TT RS and even they are coming back with £31,175 (assuming 15k miles), so a main dealer should be significantly more.
As i, and others have said, she needs to poll around audi dealers, indies who specialise in heavy duty cars like this, and online car buying sites and see who will give her the most for it.
One thing i would say is, dont give them too much information about the circumstances - just go for "car no longer suits requirements, want to sell it". Dont mention settlement figure until you get a valuation either. They will smell weakness if she goes for divorce as the reason and that she really wants rid and try to get it for a song0 -

If WBAC are offering that amount then the OP's friend should snap up the offer as they defecit will be much easier to stomach than the current repayments.
MG from the earleir post, my figures came about from in the past when I was getting a MK5 Golf, and postings from others on another forum.0 -

I'd be trying other dealers first. WBAC are generally 5-10% below trade prices and they will try to "chip you back", whereas if a local dealer sees the car then you are getting a real value that you can rely on.
We just traded my Golf and my wifes z4 into a dealer and got trade prices £7,500 and £15200 respectively. WBAC bid £7,000 and £14650.0 -

What were roughly the retail for the trade in's though?
That said the OP mentions the car is 2 years old but the settlememt figure is around £33k, so perhaps the car condition and mileage may hinder a great price and quick sale.0 -

Not sure of the relevance to WBAC's price compared to the price we got?
Probably £9695 for the Golf and £17995 for the z4.

Condition and miles would have to be mint and average or below average, but you expect that of a two year old TT RS.
Also, different dealers will have different views on the TT's value, hence why i'd try as many sources as possible.0 -
Well they're way out, sorry.

I don't want to get too side tracked on the part ex, but ok this was 2005 they were offering me £4k for a car that they had 'lesser' examples on the forecourt for £7.5k and didn't weant to drop a penny on the new car purchase price , I thought things may have changed but from the other forum, they seem to be still offering feisty px deals , a colleague was offered £1k for his good condition Civic.0 -

You were being low balled then.
And things have changed. Discounts on most cars are readily available and margins on used cars are (relatively speaking) waifer thin.
Not sure how what you got 10 years ago for a golf translates to a trade in value of £19K for a car worth £33K?0 -

I agree to try many sources , the TTrs is a nice motor if I were to buy one it would be brand new on the new platform, getting a vehicle at that price private it would have to be a dead cert bargain next to giveaway
