    Except they do.

You're mis-informed about the LBG Account Closure Unit anyway. They are just a processing team and do not make the decisions.

Credit Decisioning make the decisions. Account Closure Unit processes the decisions.

Credit Decisioning are only responsible for account closure decisions in certain circumstances and for a limited number of account closures.

Do you work at LBG? From what I know, credit decisioning make 'risk based' account closure decisions so will invariably make an enquiry into your credit files before deciding to close the accounts.

worth switch my Lloyds to a first direct then?
  • Well I have some news !, I remembered that my Mums Neighbour used to work for Bank of Scotland, I know when I lived there he was in a branch but was not sure if he still worked for them.

Anyway when I visited her at the weekend he was in his garden cutting his grass, so I decided to take the plunge and ask him what he knew.

Now first and foremost I did not give him the account details nor would I want him looking up the accounts, I am not sure he would be able to anyway, nor would I want him at risk of losing his job, so with that in mind I don’t want to divulge what he told me on a Public Forum, as I do not want to run the risk of someone from LBG seeing it and somehow being able to trace him.

But if anyone who wants to know wants to send me a private message I would certainly let you know the details, and if you then want to tell others the information that would be up to you. What I will say is some people are wrong about it, others are partly right in what they have said, there are changes coming to the accounts.

But all I will say for the people with Bank of Scotland accounts are: Think of the meaning and purpose of a Current account, it’s for your salary or payments to go into, it’s for making payments and general day to day banking, it’s not for savings is it, and then think of the requirements of the Halifax Reward account. In other words you are making the current account look like a savings account, you need to make it look like a current account – I will say no more.

Whole forum is playing up. I'm getting "server timed out" when I hit the "Thanks" button.
