I love the smell of the that monoi oil - how do you like it? wba?

I like it but it annoys me that I have to think beforehand to warm it through to use it.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • I have just managed to catch up on the thread - congratulations rdone! Also welcome to Susan1962.

I have 2 UUs to report:

    1. Oral B Satin Dental Tape. HG and replaced with more of the same.
    2. La Perla sample. I think it was the classic scent. It was quite nice but I prefer other scents.
Thank you to everyone who posts on here :)

Hi guys I'm going to join you too since I have too much stuff and it stresses me out especially the makeup.

    I have 6 UU's to report.

    1. Sue MoxleyS Famous X Double Your Chances Volume & Lengthening Mascara - Ultra Black. I eventually liked it towards the end and then it just died. wnba I like trying out new mascaras and I didn't particularly like formula or wand on this one (ball tip). Felt like a football hit my eye if I poked it accidentally in the morning plus dried my eyes out.

    2. NYC lipstick in flirty. I don't like the smell and the fact that its frosty. I don't particularly like that look so wnba. I dug into the tube till the bottom so proud of using it up. Does anyone ever finish the bottom of the tube using a lip brush? I know with other lipsticks I use the product at bottom of the tube as a base for eyeshadow and it looks good. But I'm 50/50 about getting rid of this one as I have enough bases and lipsticks for now. I'm thinking of keeping it so I'm not tempted to buy more lipsticks or make the mistake of buying the same colour by a different brand.

    3. MUA eyeliner in Royal Blue. I enjoyed using this it has good pigmentation but I had to sharpen it before each use to 'freshen it up' and make it soft for my eyes. WBA after I've finished my other eyeliners.

    4. Johnsons stretch mark oil. I ended up using this to take my mascara off after I finished my garner micellar water and made sure I washed my face properly afterwards. The oil did a great job. I have 3 bottles left (wish I didn't stock up because they were on clearance in Superdrug but I'm going to take one on holiday with me to make a dent in my stash and try the product).

    5. Colgate Plax mouthwash alcohol free. I love this wba after using up my Listerine.

Had to stop myself buying hair dye and dry shampoo whilst shopping today. They're not something I need for now even if they are a bargain!

    6. Rimmel Gel eyeliner in Aubergine. First one I tried from Rimmel and loved it since it is quite long lasting too. WBA sometime in the far future.

I was going to recommend Elasticizer but you are already doing that. I really love Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Mask but it is expensive, the results are amazing imo though.
LunaL - I don't dye my hair so can't help on that front, though I do rate the Tigi ranges for keeping my (long, fine and washed-blow-dried-and-straightened-daily) hair looking and feeling in good condition. I'm currently using the Headshot range but my mum (dyed blonde hair) rates Dumb Blonde and they also do a violet (Fashionista) range specifically for dyed and blonde hair. Not cheap but good value for money as I find a little goes a long way with their stuff due to the quality.

Thanks for the tips, will give these a go! :D

    Some more uu this week:

Sisley youth sample: from a Space NK purchase. Nice cream, not too rich for morning use under makeup but hydrating with a lavender scent. Can't say too much about the anti-ageing effects as I'm only 20! But I do believe prevention is better than cure :) have two more sachets to use up but quite expensive to actually buy.
Body shop sleep spray: strange one, I assumed this would be lavender scented however it was more like fresh oranges! I don't like this at all, ended up using it as room spray. Wnba.
Cutex nail polish remover: standard polish remover, I find this removes everything but stubborn glitter! Wba and already have.
Lancôme hypnose mascara sample: received this in the John Lewis beauty box and loved how thick and voluminous it made my lashes. I already have another sample size and would definitely buy again once I have finished other mascaras in my stash.
Lush Santa lip scrub: lovely cola taste, exfoliated my lips well and a little goes a long way. Wba, this was limited edition at Christmas but have the popcorn one to use at the moment.
Ren rosa centifolia cleansing gel sample: not my favourite cleanser but good as a morning cleanse to refresh the skin. Wba for maybe holiday when I don't wear makeup.

One in so far, toothpaste! How boring but was on offer for £2 in Boots and has an additional 10% off from the Boots app.

Bought my absolute favourite cleanser as my backup - the garnier micellar water will be done very soon (next 3 weeks or so by my calculations) and didn't want to be without anything.
Also decided to try their face smooth brightening polish as an exfoliator, it has natural alpha hydroxy acids in it so hoping it's better for my skin than the st ives I've been using.

Also chucked a deeply unflattering shade of the rimmel apocalypse range, it was one of the nudes, so awful, I never wear it.

Gave away the Garnier Ultimate Blend shampoo (and two of the conditioners - so am only keeping 1 conditioner) to my mum, it made my scalp itch, I'm too sensitive to mess around with things like that so it's gone to a better home. Shame as the formula itself seemed really good, really made my hair feel lovely and soft (better than the Aveda I'm currently using up and regretting...).

Congratulations, rdone! We will have been married for 2 years in August and on the whole, it's been like a fairytale :) DH is snoring beside me as I type so it must be love :D

And welcome newcomers! We are a lovely bunch (even if I do say so myself!) so please keep posting on your progress!

    Speaking of progress…

    May PP List

    Superdrug Naturally Radiant Day Cream
    Estee Lauder ATZ Eye Cream
Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm (rollover)
    Boots Time Delay Cleansing Oil
    MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
Estee Lauder Doublewear Concealer in 02 Light/Medium
    Stila Angel Light Powder Foundation
    Rituals Shanti Shower Oil
    TBS Frosted Cranberry Shower Gel
Superdrug Skin Soft Age Care Body Lotion

I have finished the Superdrug NR day cream; lovely stuff, WDBA but no need for now as I have another (albeit for normal/combo skin instead of dry) in my stash.

My EL eye cream is also finished :sob:*cry*:sob: It was just a GWP size but it's lasted me eons. WBA in a heartbeat if I wasn't skint :( I've busted out a Benefit mini to see me through the rest of the month.

Loving my makeup basket, BTW! It definitely makes my morning ritual quicker and I'm really enjoying mixing a cool toned eyeshadow combo with some bronzer worked into the crease to warm up the look. I WILL pan this palette! :j
