Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
Does anyone have any advice for finding someone's address? (Business/personal)
I did some design work for a client who is now refusing to pay. They've used the designs for merchandise already, but are using every excuse in the book not to pay. I don't have an address for them unfortunately. Gone through the usual channels of companies house etc.
I'm going to have to take them to the Small Claims court but will obviously need an address first.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.

192.com is a decent wee resource, you can choose to search for business or private numbers and addresses. you do have to buy "credits" to be able to view the records, from memory its not too expensive, probably £1.99 for a handful of credits. Worth it if the debt is significant enough.Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190

Thanks. Ideally I'd like a free service. I'm pretty sure 192 charges. I have two telephone numbers for them, landline and mobile.0

Yes, that's why I'm trying to keep the costs down.0

So what details do you have for this person you did design work for?
How do you know they are already putting the design on merchandise?0 -
Do they have a .co.uk web address, if so a lot of businesses register the website to their home address or to an address that's not "hidden".
You can check their website on https://www.nominet.org.uk (For free)0 -
I have the name and telephone numbers of the person who authorised the work and the company name, which isn't registered.
Proof of authorisation by email to proceed with work for the agreed price.
All email correspondence.
Photographic evidence that designs have been used on merchandise.
I've also been in touch with their merchandise supplier who also hasn't been paid and is trying to do the same as myself.0 -
.com address unfortunately0

One of the first things to do before completing any work is to do a basic fact find about the type of work that needs done, design brief etc. I would have thought that basic company details would have been on the first page of this document?
Other than trawling through google for information, which may or may not be outdated/incorrect, pay the fee, and get the correct information
Actually, I have just went on and searched our company on 192.com and there are a number of free listings that I can access without credits and the address and phone number are shownMortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190
