Evening DFW-Ninjas,
Also...
The List:
:starmod: Read electric and gas meters and submitted readings online. If you have a Co-Op Energy account allow extra time for using their online system, currently going at a snail's pace.
:starmod: Did not waste a stamp on a complaint, emailed organisation instead.
:starmod: Patience paid off: avocados purchased a month ago finally ripened!
That's all for now. Good luck on your quests, Ninjas.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

So, following on with the bed situation... we've sorted the bed and divan ready to go to the tip tomorrow and found a box of bits and pieces.
- Found loads of toiletries I'd forgetten about
- Had a brainwave... we're going to pull the sofa bed from DS2's room into ours to use instead of buying a new bed. It has a decent mattress on it but it ain't no Kingsize, lol... will see how this goes!April 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
I haven'tve failed to post for the last few days which is ridiculous really as the majority of the time I have been in the house.
Ally you appear to have the patience of a Saint regarding the avocado.
Bob sorry to hear things are not going smoothly and it involves the insurance company again.
Foxgloves Happy birthday :bdaycake:

Evening all and happy birthday to Foxgloves!
Shortie, we have been sleeping with the bed the wrong way round for I think a couple of years now as a slat broke near the top so we've moved it to the feet end. It looks a bit odd but provides the perfect springboard for the cat to get to the top of the wardrobe (from where she was sick this morning over the dress I had hanging from the wardrobe handle!) so I feel your pain, both in the not perfect sleeping conditions and also animal-related yuckiness!
No post from me yesterday as work was mental, so was the journey home and I went to bed early with a migraine.
I've still not bought any lunches so that is going well.
I impulse bought a summer dress at Mr S which I returned for a refund tonight.
The estate agent called today to warn me he's taken on another house in my road and its maybe likely that my buyers will ask to see it. I said he has to do what he has to do in the same way that I have to but do what I have to do (ie not buy any old house just for the sake of hanging onto them) but I have just asked that if they jump ship got him to tell me what they paid for it because if it's more I might hold out for a bit more for mine next time.
He thinks, as I do, that more houses will come on after the election so I may find something anyway.
I tried to get a mystery shopping assignment for a foodie place I'd like to try but messed up the application and by the time I'd done it a second time it had gone
One of DHs friends is coming down from Manchester with his wife for a gig this weekend so we have cashed in some a Tesco vouchers to take them out for a meal the night before. I'm sure they would offer to pay for themselves but the friend has given DH and DSS three of his guitars (he is terminally ill) so it's the least we can do.
Somewhere that I work occasionally is looking for someone to work Sunday and BH Monday. I am sorely tempted but I would be taxed at 40 percent which makes it less appealing.

Wow I got in from work and fell fast asleep
just woke up had a drink and ate my packed lunch I forgot today :T
Paid another £25 of cc today, I can affoard a little more but I'm going to hold on to that money just while everything all up in the air with bills etc not managed to pick up my wages so far this week (they get sent to a different pub) but hey at least I'm not spending them!
Picked up some more ys meat today, so that's all in the freezer. I'm eating extremely well for very cheaply at the moment doing this. Normally getting a full family meal, plus a lunch for £1-£2.
£4 in tips today and it was really quiet. think I've gained another regular tipper which is good. i not a over bearing friendly barmaid but I do have a geniue love of people, interest in their daily ongoing and making sure everything right for them.
Right I better try and get some more sleep xx

Sorry for the iPad mumbo jumbo
:rotfl:
This happens to me all the time. I'm forever editing my messages. I'll write one word in and it completly change it to somthing else (espically if I'm not looking at it) I'm all for auto correct but completly changing the words when you've imputed a correctly spelt one already is very bizarreDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0
