Had my first delivery today, helpful delivery man stacked the freezer shelf for me. Tried a meal tonight delicious my husband had a mini meal he has to eat little & often it was just right. Think this might be just what we needed just to give us space. Thanks for all the tips.0

There is a similar company,Oakhouse Foods. They have a website for ordering online or you can request a brochure to receive in the post. The prices are comparable with Wiltshire but there is a far greater choice.Well worth a look.I use both.0

Hi Cuckooclock,
Have you thought about a soup maker? I have mobility problems and can't cook myself and have a soup maker and find it brilliant.
Just pop everything in and it will chop cook and puree the soup - some have a self cleaning function too - if you get one with a timer it will even turn itself off afterwards - good for me as I tend to forget about things :-(Just trying to get through life coping with disability.0 -

I have a cuisinart one that I bought secondhand and it's been going great for years. You are really supposed to chop the raw veg before you put it in to the soup maker but the cuisinart can crush ice so it does chop veg on bad days when I'm not well enough to use my magimix to chop them separately.
Check the cuisinart soup maker reviews on amazon or lakeland and then look for one secondhand on gumtree. Most people use them a few times and never use them again as a novelty.
It comes with a recipe book here - have a look through it http://www.lakeland.co.uk/content/documents/Cuisinart_Soup_Maker_13356.pdf
Also remember that summer is coming and it can be used as a normal blender as well to make smoothies and things too
Also something else I use to help are these bags from lakeland - GREAT for cooking new potatoes, vegetables and chicken or fish in the 1 bag in the microwave when you can't cook for yourself. They are expensive but if you are unable to cook for yourself and live alone as I do they are very handy.

Thank you! When I read your post I thought 'What a great idea!' I love soups and used to make them a lot but I currently have very varied ability! I have a blender and a stick but it's all too much of a faff on a bad day. Bags of fresh prepped veg would come in handy - I know they're a bit pricey but that's what low rate care is to help with!!
I left the hob on the other day so an automatic switch off is a plus!0
