questions for buying property

since he doesn't know how much he will live, why not just pay rent for the rest 50% of the property for as long as he lives? it may end up paying less than 70k
I did put in a disclaimer saying it was a very rough example...
And yes, possibly, or they could live for another 30 years, with no rental or mortgage outgoings to worry about, in a much nicer house in a much better area than they would otherwise be able to afford.
It is a business arrangement with a commercial company. They are in it to make money, remember....0 -
given your inability to research basic facts yourself using google and your apparent inability to take on board the information given in the answers you get I find that comment rather rich0

then I am stuck
I am looking for a 50k discount and I cannot find a way to achieve this....are there any properties that I could negotiate such discount?
or any other way, a scheme or something?
dear spezial one,
as I said in my post above you are failing to think laterally about your problems;
I see from post #22 on one of your other threads at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/68310470#Comment_68310470 that you are considering banking online, with a Sicilian financial institution to secure the best rate for your big Euro account.
If you are thinking of such an investment, why not go the full monty (or 'il tutti monti', as the Italians say - or 'Come se dice' as the italians actuallysay, meaning 'as is said') and relocate to Sicily.
There, property is much cheaper and local families (le famiglie) have a more flexible and imaginative approach to dealing with petty legalities of conveyancing and the irritating matters of unpredicability of life expectancy which worry you in your other posts above.

is there a website to see visually on the map, the stops and bus routes in romford?0

It's AMAZING what you find when you Google something like, oh I don't know, "Romford bus routes"....

basically, I didn't have something like that in mind
I want a real regular map, with street names etc, and on that map (eg. Google maps) to show lines with the routes and bus stops of the buses in romford
because in what you posted, I cannot see where exactly on a real map are the routes and stops0 -
It's not hard to find these things....

I find flats that charge £170-180pcm service charges! is this normal? that means a whole salary will go for service charges per year! are they serious? is there a protection from this?0

Yes; 3 options
1. Do not buy; remain lying down quiet in darkened room
2. Resign job which only earns you £2,160 per year. Get job earning you £60k gross, £43,200 per year net so you can afford service charge with £3,420 per month to spare
3. As I suggest above, take the spirit of the advice already offered by someone in reply to one of your many other posts about your offshore accounts - #22 at https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/68310470#Comment_68310470 The Sicilian approach to "protection" - or "pizzo" as it is known in Italian is always more interesting than the English way0
