I had another recent thread here about an ex boiler-cupboard to shower conversion. There's a little bit of plywood visible above the carpet now, maybe the carpet is more compressed around the edges where the grippers are, but a PVC trim should cover it as suggested! I'll look for an L shape trim so that water cant easily run between the tray and the mat in front..
