Leaving BT problems

i have got a MAC code from BT and signed up with Plusnet, who have been super, so far. However, BT will not record that I have now got Plusnet broadband - the agents agree that there is a mistake, the Manager has sent me a letter stating that there is a mistake, but they continue to hold onto my advance payment and look for more! I feel as if I have talked to every agent they have, but nothing changes despite promises. I will not return to BT. Can anyone recommend a way of getting my advance payment back? I am getting weary of the 40-minute phone calls. I recommend that NOONE SHOULD SIGN UP WITH BT!

What 'advance payment' are you referring to? Line Rental Saver is not refundable if you leave within term.

You are saying broadband and either you paid advance payment for broadband or its not broadband but as said non refundable line rental discounted if you pay in advance .

The same thing happened to my elderly parents who had paid for 3 months broadband a week before their switchover date. It took me 3 phone calls to idiots who palmed me off and then finally I got through to someone who seemed to listen to what i had to say and refunded what was owed. The only way is to either keep phoning or raise a complaint which may take longer.
