Sky Arts without Sky subscription?

Dos anyone know how to watch Sky Arts channels without a Sky subscription? I have the basic £21.50 a month sub, and this and Gold are the only non free to air channels I watch. I could cancel Sky sub, but I would miss Sky Arts for the opera, ballet and series

Sky Arts & Gold are available as streaming channels via Sky's "Now TV" service at £6.99 per month.
There are various entertainment/gaming devices that you can stream Now TV on, or you can purchase a Now TV Box from "Now TV" or High Street electrical/catalogue retailers etc. with viewing passes included.
For more information, see http://www.nowtv.com/entertainment0 -
Thanks, this looks great. I can buy the box. Or I was looking at the Kindle Fire stick - do you happen to know if it is better and easier than Now TV, or am I just falling for the advertising? Also I need to get the Humax box for receiving freest signal, and to replace Sky+ box recording functions.0

I have no personal experience of the Fire TV stick, although I believe that the issue you would have is that Now TV isn't on it!
The Now TV Box is a restricted version of "Roku". Sky doesn't allow certain competitor services on it!
If you wanted a box with Now TV, but also access to more services than the Now TV boxes (e.g. Netflix) you might like to look as well at https://www.roku.com/uk . The box or streaming stick would cost a bit more, but there are substantially more streaming channels available on it, albeit that some are very niche.0 -
Worth noting though, in case you were looking at a Kindle streaming stick for Amazon Instant Video, Amazon is currently not available on Roku in the UK (it is, however, available in the US on Roku).0

further to earlier posts you can get Now for £5 a month by using the 3 month gift cards available at Argos, Currys and Game.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

The Fire Stick is great but it doesn't have Now TV. Best off getting the Now TV box for a tenner.0
